Froch-Johnson scorecards were b.s.

I had it 117-112, the 2nd time I watched the fight I realised Johnson kept getting caught on the inside each time he threw a big right Froch seemed to be firing back and catching him with 4 and 5 punch combinations. It wasn't a great performance by Froch but he did seem to make Johnson miss a lot and Johnson always brings it and is never an easy fight for anyone, competitive but clear Froch win is the best way to describe it I think.

 

I really can't understand some of the scores here. Rd 1 is a nailed on 10/10. Neither fighter landed anything ffs, and scoring on 'pressure' is ridiculous when the opponents strategy relies on that same pressure. Effective pressure should be rewarded, but when you ain't landing, it ain't effective. As for some of the other rounds, Glen himself admitted he lost and that Froch put him off his game, and he's one of only two people that know exactly how hard and often he was hitting and getting hit, regardless of what we think we see from the outside.

 

I don't think it was close. In the press conference, DiBella said that he, Johnson and his trainer all agreed Froch won. If the fight was as close as some say, like Froch by a point or two, they would be saying they won. That's just the way the business works. They know, however, that Johnson lost cleanly and clearly, so all these score cards are baffling.

I had Johnson winning 3 rounds with 1 even.

 

I think even rounds are bull****. Make a decision.

Round 1 was razor close but I gave it to Froch based on his jab.

 

if i remember correctly i think i had it 8-4 Froch.

Froch's chin is legit.

 

Watched it a second time, this time the American coverage, i thought it was close but clear Froch win on first viewing (by 2-3 pts), but on second viewing it was a wide Froch win

116-112 the most accurate but 117-111 very fair aswell.

116-112 Froch....I was cheering for Glen and trying to give him the benefit of the doubt and give him every round he could be awarded. Froch won a clear UD in a fight where he was given trouble throughout so 117-111 is fully reasonable as there were some close rounds that I gave to Glen that could have just as easily been awarded to Froch.

 

I wanted Johnson to knock Froch out . But Froch clearly beat Glen .

 

Just how I scored it.

This was as clear a win as any.

 

116 - 112 in favour of Froch.

Yes GJ was moving forward constantly and did land good shots, but Froch consistantly answered back and was much stronger in the ring generalship department. GJ pushed Froch, but ultimately Froch was a clear cut winner. The 117-111 is perhaps a little wide, but no way was it a 114-114 fight either.

The right man was awarded the win.

When a fighter, trainer and promoter all admit they lost, you know it was a wide decision. If it was close, they'd be protesting but they aren't.

 

Froch clearly won the last 4 or at least the alst 3 of 4 if you count the 10th which i didnt. Out of the rest he won another 3/4 CLEAR but close rounds. I genuinely cant understand how you can say it was any less than a Froch win. i like johnson but there was no way he was going to win after he started slowing down.

 

Johnson won the first Round! Neither Man Landed anything of note but Froch was just flicking his jab out and moving around. Johnson was banging his jab out and being agressive and landed to thebodya few times. He won it
