Floyd tended to go for the old, big names as well.

Cotto and Margarito were feared, largely unbeaten guys, who were no real draw, and no real name, when they were calling out Mayweather.

The sensible post. All we've heard regarding this fight is dribs and drabs from subjective sources (this includes Arum and Mayweather Sr's).

Until someone reliable actually comes out and confirms anything, then what Boom has explained will only really be the evident truth.

I can't see any negotiation/press for this fight being at all valid until after Floyd's court hearing. Until then, it's all just a right load of bollox.

Margarito and Cotto were old names, bordering on being two of the best known boxers in the sport when Manny faced them.

Like Mayweather taking on Judah or De la Hoya basically.

Manny's equivilant of Cotto or Margarito is guys like Bradley, Khan, Ortiz, Berto
