In the last 50 years of Professional Boxing, what usually happens when Britain's best faces America's best, at their respective best? Exactly. The American outclasses The Brit 9 out of 10 times... Let it be known, gentlemen....we are thisclose to witnessing a Modern Extinction of British Boxing...they've been on life support ever since Calzaghe ran into retirement, Hatton was decimated, and Setanta folded on them...Haye, Khan, and Froch are the last guard...and as we've all seen, they've pretty much been squeaking by... To any Quality British Boxing fans out there, please don't take the following personally.... Here's what's going to transpire...Haye is going to be destroyed by Klitschko...Khan might get caught by Judah, and if he's not, it's only a matter of time...and lastly, Froch will be outclassed by Ward...their top Hope for the future in DeGale has already been derailed...as top British fighters tend to get when they fight equal or better competition... It will probably all come down to Khan...and his Doom is GUARANTEED. As some of you may be able to tell, The Bridiots (and other garbage fans) already sense this and are preparing themselves for it...since '09, they've been ignorantly attacking young American Champions like Ward and Bradley more than ever...there are also types who are constantly stating that Nonito Donaire is Filipino ONLY instead of Filipino-American... LMAO. It's all so obvious, isn't it?...The Fear. So to all those who have seen what I've seen and feel as I feel....I say this... OBSERVE this defensive and insecure behavior as it increases, REMIND them of their impending demise, and REVEL in their pain over each elimination....why?....because they DESERVE it. Ohhh yes...The End is NIGH. Sincerely, SKULLSPLITTER - The CEO, Absolute Conqueror and Owner of the Anti-American garbage fans
How many Americans have Froch, Khan and Haye lost to so far during their entire pro careers? Not one between them. Dream on.
This is a much closer fight than some people realize. Froch may have a slight advantage on the outside considering his reach, style, and the fact that he may have the best jab in the tournament, and he's also improved every fight and made strides with his inside game. Against Johnson, gone was the sloppy, slapping, arm punches, and here was fast, accurate, and hard combinations, including an uppercut. That combined with his heart and fortitude of a champion have really impressed me. He's come a long way and he makes improvements every fight. Ward; however, is a perfectionist, and rarely ever makes mistakes. He is also a great outside boxer, but in this fight I think his inside game combined with his speed will make the difference. He also seems to improve every fight and I think he tries to win impressively, along with having the will and heart of a fighter. This is an excellent matchup and I want to say it's about 50/50, but I'm going to make a pick and go with Ward by close decision.
This is a great matchup as both fighters display a tremendous amount of grit and determination. Although it is my patriotic duty to root for Ward, I really prefer Carl Froch's style. The guy is as tough as nails. When tagged he gets pissed and immediately goes for the payback punch. I love that.
I'm not sure it's necessarily payback he looks for. He must know by now that his languid style costs him close rounds, and if the other guy tags him the judges will remember it if he doesn't respond. Either way it's great to watch him coming straight back from hard shots with hurtful combos. I'd be very reluctant to engage him if I was Ward for that reason alone. Froch manages to turn great shots from his opponent to his own advantage, which must be a supreme head**** for his opponents that think they've got him in trouble. Look at all the times he got tagged hard by Kessler and Johnson, the mad ******* grins like a loon and goes piling back in.
You could be right. I don't know what's going on in his head. It was obvious to me when Sugar Ray Leonard used those tactics. Froch doesn't come across that way to me, but maybe he has me fooled.
Good **** :good I agree, war both fighters. I got Ward by a ugly UD, in a fight that turns out to be exciting. I'm betting the house on Ward :deal
