    Come on man.

I'd say 50% of boxing sites are either funded by Pacquiaos people/Arum, or they rely so heavily on them, that they are 100% obediant to them.

Most sites are ridiculously biased to Pacquiao

Sorry, but this argument is not valid. It's based on blind faith

Manny is more popular than mayweather in America - but he consistently sells less PPVs

Manny is more popular than Mayweather worldwide - but he consistently sells less global PPVs as well.

Truth is, Manny just has more dedicated fans, who like flooding message boards.

It's what is know as the "silent majority".

Come on, have some dignity. That's just desperate!

Floyd sold 1.1 million with Marquez. Manny sold 500k

Floyd sold 1.4 million with Mosely. Manny sold (supposedly 1.3 million)

Floyd sold 2.5 million with Oscar. Manny sold 1.2 million

Mayweather sold 700k in the UK ALONE with Hatton. Manny sold 950k total

    It's not even close.

Floyd fights ANYONE, he sells 1.3 million

Manny needs a big name opponent to get that high

    It's a simple question

Is Manny more popular in America than Mayweather or not.

    Not.

Maybe they were, if so they should have hired me I would have told them for a cool 100 bucks no way in hell that fight does 2 Million.

Mosely just isnt well known enough....

No one knows how much marketing was spent on either fight and anyone speculating otherwise is just trying to be biased to support the support of their fighter!

We can ONLY deal with facts.

2 nights of PPV > 1 night of PPV

    however

    1.4 Million > 1.3 Million

Do you see where the problem lies? *******s always want to claim Manny does is the bigger draw how?

4 common opponents came up short every time!

Im not saying his numbers are bad, they are Great. Im just poking fun at the guys who want to put down Floyds achievements in order to big up Mannys!

Floyd sold 700k PPVs in the UK alone for Hatton.

Manny sold 950k total for that fight. Mayweathers total was something like 1.6 million

Mayweather sold between 1.2 Million and 1.4 Million in the UK ALONE it was first reported 1.2 by the network (sky) and then the telegraph (respectible paper) reported it was 1.4 Million.

He holds the PPV record in the UK as well as USA....must be a fluke ay? ;)

It's whats known in politics as the "silent majority"

The numbers aren't the people who shout, and scream, and stand their waving placards

They're the people at home, who just enjoy life, and get on with things quietly

Pacquiao has the tea party movement behind him - the guys in the streets, shouting, and making a scene.

    mayweather has the silent majority.

It's important if you're trying to argue Mayweather isn't the biggest draw in boxing.

    He is.

Even if the 1.3 million number is legit (it's actually Arums prediction if you read the article closely)

1.3 is actually a success given the fact that Shane was coming off a lopsided loss and a dissapointing draw against a C level boxer. When Floyd faced Shane, Shane just finished beating the crap out of Margarito and his stock was high at the time.

those are ****in huge numbers man. Pacquiao is killing it. 1.15M against Margo, 1.3M against Mosley.

Anything above 1.1 for this fight is huge.

To be 100% Honest with you..
Floyds comeback against Marquez on Mexican independance day had alot to do with those numbers, in addition the fight was pushed back due to an (Injury) but reports also showed that the ticket sales were horrible just before the fight got set back and reports also shown that they reduced prices on those tickets just to get people in the damn building.

The DLH fight, I dont know about you but the enviornment there appeared that Mayweather didnt have a single fan in attendance and you think Oscar doesnt have a following on PPV as well? especially after his knock out destrucion of Mayorga?

The Mosley fight, Mosley had just come off of destroying the man at that time, he brought the numbers with him not all but a good share of them.

And your talking Ricky Hatton, lets be real Floyd didnt sell all those PPV hook ups in the UK, Hatton has a loyal following out there.

The reality is, if you look at Floyds numbers Prior to Gatti he was ****, the Gatti fight in Atlantic City brought in alot of Gatti fans and considering Gatti had just come off an amazing Triolgy with Ward, that fight was ment to sell and it wasnt all Mayweathers doing.

you dont see Big numbers with Floyd neither, he has to have another name attached as well to sell a fight, if Not explain to me what happend with Mitchell? or Baldimor I mean mother ****ing Baldomir for **** sakes when ever you have a golfer leave your fight in the 7th round your a pretty ****ing boring fighter.

All I am saying is this, Manny may need help with named fighters but so does Mayweather.. and at the end of the day if you ask me who I would rather purchase a ticket to see, if they are not fighting each other, I am going to a Pacquiao fight all day long....
