It's the fight that makes the most sense in every way, especially as an undercard of Ward-Froch being the S6 final.

I personally think such a card would surpass the Hopkins-Dawson & Pascal-Cloud one that HBO is trying to put together.

Boxing needs more of these big cards !!

As an eliminator for a shot at the Super 6 winner it makes good sense.

I would still prefer another tune up for Kessler-which could be the Stieglitz fight, making it possible to unify all 4 belts in one big clash in the end-given that Kessler beats Stieglitz.

    Scenario:

    Bute-Mendy in Montreal.
    Stieglitz-Kessler in Germany.
    Ward-Froch in ?? US
Kessler-Bute in Copenhagen (Bute needs to travel at some point)- Kessler easily draws 40.000+ in Copenhagen= Pay day.

Possible unification fight: Kessler/Bute vs Froch/Ward probably in Vegas.

No way it will be the undercard of Froch-Ward.

Bute-Kessler is equal to Froch-Ward in terms of matchup and fan interest so I highly doubt Froch/Ward and their handlers will be cool with sharing the spotlight after a multi-year commitment to the super 6.

Either way, Bute-Kessler and Froch-Ward are the real semi's for SMW division supremacy so fingers are crossed.

    Ill second that

Bute Kessler in Canada or Denmark , would surpass Froch Ward in terms of revenue generated , i for one as a boxing fan would be probably more interested in seeing Bute fight a live opponent than seeing what i consider a potential snoozefest in Ward Froch

Bute-Kessler with the winner facing Ward-Froch makes a lot of sense and would be the perfect next step after the Super Six. I think Bute-Kessler happens next but I'm not positive, I also think it could be Bute-Pavlik which is a pretty good scenario as well.

There is almost no way these two fights would be on the same card from the same venue. But, if they both happened on the same night with Bute-Kessler in Canada and Ward-Froch here than Showtime could still show them both as a Showtime doubleheader which would be just the same.

Well if Pavlik is considered the WBC #1 Contender. Assuming he doesn't lose, He gets first crack at winner of Super 6 correct? He would be the WBC champs Mandatory right?

Right. It just wouldn´t make sense. He should move back down at take a fight with let´s say Abraham. Both of them needs to kickstart what is left of their careers. That would be a fun fight to watch imo. Abraham needs to face he is no SMW.

He fights Mendy in Romania in about a month while waiting for the top to be available. He will be ready for a fight in November, like Kessler, Ward and Froch.
