Not in the UK. Hatton v Paquiao did 400,000 buys max. I remember reading that the pacman camp said how it proved that pacman deserved the higher split.
Floyd fought dlh and got what fans called a lackluster win at dlhs weight. Floyd then fought what people perceived as a smaller, fat marquez and still sold a mil ppvs. Yes, I consider everything. Pacs ppvs numbers against marquez were impressive then also for that weight class. My main point is that public perception comes from where, critics and hardcores like us because the average fan doesn't know what us hardcore may know and they may know and not care like us at times and still pay for a ppv fight anyway...like us hardcore fans do. Fans hear a name, and say I'm getting that fight. Pac and Floyd command that respect. Nitpicking over their ppvs when both do well is comical to me.
Well, you know his soccer mother would disown him if he was trying to take home men who are wifebeaters.
I'd expect the Mayweather fight to do much bigger numbers. The fact it only did 100k more is a positive for Pacquiao, I think. After the Mayweather fight where Mosley showed very little, the intrigue in him obviously wasn't as high. Mayweather/Mosley was about both fighters and the question of whether Mosley could win. Pacquiao/Mosley was just about seeing Pacquiao again. Had Pacquiao/Mosley been first, I think it would have done at least 100k more buys than Mayweather/Mosley. That's just the way marketability works.
Awww PH|LLA you got me feeling sorry for you now! HAHAHA I dont need to sell anything the numbers speak for themselves sonny! Tip: Leave the maths teaching to the wife, you gonna set your kids back a few grades with the techniques you trying to use! :huh
I know you know kid :deal Most PPV sales in 2008? Pac Most PPV sales in 2009? Pac Most PPV sales in 2010? Pac Most PPV sales in 2011? ..... we don't know yet. Maybe it'll be Floyd
Did floyd or pacquiao look more impressive v DLH? If it was pacman then he should of shot into super stardom and left floyd trailing behind.....oh wait.
Unlike you guys, I love both fighters. You guys belittle each others fighters and expect guys like me to respect your opinions. Nah patna, dat ain't happnin.
