Marcos Maidana? Wladimir Klitschko? Arthur Abraham was also considered a "Ko artist" before he got humiliated. Carl Froch can also bang, he may not be a ko artist, but his power have to be respected.
I'll give you Maidana, but a true KO artist doesn't paw and grab for nine or ten rounds. He has the one hit thunder that ends fights when they can be ended. Not when he finally fells comfortable ending them.
It is true, you rarely see a guy (at least in Britain) who's destroying people. All these knockouts are bull**** stoppages and you never even see Journeyman turned over on their front unable to get to their feet after a punch anymore. Gone are the days of a dynamite puncher with an iron chin.
He's talking about one punch Ko artist. Guys who consistenly put people in la la la land with one punch. Othern than Hatton, Pacquiao gets TKO by acculation. Vitali gets TKO's by accumulation. They're not true KO artists.
One shot KO guys are a dying breed in boxing today. I think Bailey and Donaire are the last one shot KO guys that are really left.
I think there are plenty of guys out there with that type of power. In all honesty, I'd rather see a hard competitive fight than one guy getting violently knocked out in a round or something.
