You don't seem to get the point that the only time Hatton has got close to those numbers was Mayweather

That was because Mayweather was the opponent. And people want to see the best in the ring

The DLH fight, I dont know about you but the enviornment there appeared that Mayweather didnt have a single fan in attendance and you think Oscar doesnt have a following on PPV as well? especially after his knock out destrucion of Mayorga?

The Mosley fight, Mosley had just come off of destroying the man at that time, he brought the numbers with him not all but a good share of them.

And your talking Ricky Hatton, lets be real Floyd didnt sell all those PPV hook ups in the UK, Hatton has a loyal following out there.

The reality is, if you look at Floyds numbers Prior to Gatti he was ****, the Gatti fight in Atlantic City brought in alot of Gatti fans and considering Gatti had just come off an amazing Triolgy with Ward, that fight was ment to sell and it wasnt all Mayweathers doing.

you dont see Big numbers with Floyd neither, he has to have another name attached as well to sell a fight, if Not explain to me what happend with Mitchell? or Baldimor I mean mother ****ing Baldomir for **** sakes when ever you have a golfer leave your fight in the 7th round your a pretty ****ing boring fighter.

All I am saying is this, Manny may need help with named fighters but so does Mayweather.. and at the end of the day if you ask me who I would rather purchase a ticket to see, if they are not fighting each other, I am going to a Pacquiao fight all day long....

I think what you actually mean is that boxing isn't popular in the Phillipines. Pacquiao just is.

He's a celebrity. Nobody really cares what he does for a day job

pretty shitty fight with a decent ppv number..

    as for jmm-pac III

I don't know if it beats this one. everyone is expecting Pac to demolish JMM. You can't fight at a high level anymore at that age when you fight Pac.

You're just stating Floyd's excuse for not fighting under the rules everyone else does.

Floyd made new rules and used them as an excuse to not take the fight.

The split won't give Manny parity, even if it is 50%

Manny has to pay Arum off. And all the Top Rank goon squad.

Mayweather will probably, in truth, make considerably more than Pacquiao from the fight. Maybe even double

Remember, Mayweather made $53 million with Mosely

Only fighter Manny can make that with is Mayweather. Period

That's why Floyd will get more

    Yes!

Pacquiao fans just suffer from chronic arrogance. They think everyone on the planet likes sitting their watching brawlers as much as they do

Normal boxing fans want to watch the best. Mayweather is seen as that figure

You know, Manny has come nowehere near to Mayweather, on nearly allof their mutual opponents

People quite obviously prefer to see Mayweather whup Hatton than Pacquiaao

Pacquiao's global PPV sales are nowhere near Mayweathers

    The gap is usually huge.

Manny fans just go on web sites a lot. Unfortunately they don't buy PPVS

*****s are going all over the place, first the thread is about PPV numbers, then it's about blood testing, then it's about Pacquiao is a one dimensional brawler, then it's about Floyd being black, what's next guys?

I cant believe im even getting wrapped up in such an utterly meaningless debate but whatever..

Boxing is a business, and like all business' its about "what have you done for me lately?"

While Pac turns out consistent 1m plus ppv numbers, what is Mayweather doing? And sure, Mayweather might have made a bit more money in a few fights, obviously didnt do him very good since he cant ever seem to pay any of his bills on time. When was the last time you heard Pac having money problems?

Wouldnt surprise me one bit if someday Mayweather ends up with nothing, whereas Pac has enough money (especially when converted to the philipino currency) to last 20 life times (why anyone should care about these guys' money and the number of ppvs they sell is beyond me tho, are any of us seeing that cash?).

And the way you worded your response "Pac HAS to fight twice as much blah blah"...ya, he actually fights, amazing concept for a boxer isnt it?

Why hasnt Mayweather had a single fight since Mosley? He could fight ANYONE and bank an easy 20m. The answer is Pacquiao. Pac has run him out of the sport without even throwing a punch.

So all the floydettes can continue to say "Mayweather did this, or did that blah blah blah" but Pac fans at the very least can say "Pac IS DOING this, and DOING that etc etc etc"

What has Mayweather done lately? Not a damn thing.

Those numbers are wack, they had a audience of 130 million and still couldnt top floyds, which is the reason they left hbo.

because they are sick and tired of playing second fiddle to hbo
