For ****'s sake *******s, Just Give Emeritus his due!!! Emeritus, Floyd is the DRAW in boxing, no doubt about that. Now, can you go on with your life and stop licking Floyd's PPV nuts? A boxing fans never looks on PPV performance, but by his views on boxers based on performance and skills. Like BE said yesterday, Mcallum is just good to watch, very good to watch. Now, die already.
What's all the fuss about? Arum predicted 1,3m-1,4m and it did 1,3m. From a business perspective, this is very good and Arum was spot on when many posters here discredited him for not releasing the numbers earlier. Give credit where it is due, This content is protected . As for Pacquiao-Marquez III, the PPV numbers can only be greater as Marquez is huge in Mexico. I expect the range of 1,5m-1,7m in PPV. For the year 2011, Pacquiao will set a carrier high of 2,8m-3m PPV. And for early 2012, Pacquiao has on the table the 65m fight in Mexico... There is no doubt in my mind that Pacquiao is the $ king today.
Dude Floyd is A draw in boxing a big draw, he is not The draw in boxing, hell the last couple years who has been the face of boxing? who have people been tuning in to watch? Floyds a draw and a big attraction to the sport, but to say he is more so than pacquiao is out right **** gobbeling Only a ****ing ****** wouldnt be able to figure out what I mean... you sir fit in that catagory...
Also need to consider that Pac vs Mosley was a write off from the start. We all knew how it was going to go and nobody gave Mosley a chance... PBF vs Mosley offered much more potential and garnered much more interest.
That's from 2010 . He netted 60 Million from his fights with Marquez AND Mosley... so technically he didn't make that much in ONE year. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/specials/fortunate50-2010/ Here's the link
ok, but that wasn't the point. The point was Floyd makes more money when he's fighting than Manny does :good
Tell me how 1.3 million ISN'T a good number again? Especially for a fight we as hardcore fans knew was a sham.
considering he's been inactive for over a year now, and has no fights scheduled for the future, Floyd's PPV numbers are about as relevant as Oscar or Tyson's. They're entirely anecdotal at this point.
Floyd MADE more money ... MADE .. He is on an extended vacation it seems... and who could he fight to get those types of PPV numbers again? Who gives a **** about the money... who is the better fighter? We won't know until a certain someone gets his "urge" back.
