Froch can beat Ward with timing, and tactics. He should study Hopkins and Johnson.

Froch can land his haymakers on Ward but he has to disguise his setups by not getting into a predictable rhythm. He has to constantly change his setups, his combinations, and his haymakers. If you do something like throw combinations and your hardest punch is always the exclamation point then you are an exclamation point rhythm fighter and eventually the other fighter learns your hardest punch is coming at the end of every combination.

The way not to do this is to disguise your haymakers the way Bernard Hopkins or Glen johnson does. Meaning you throw decoy combinations to set up every haymaker. You don't always make the first punch the hardest or the last, but you mix it up randomly, so there is no pattern for the other fighter to adapt to. You have to constantly surprise the other fighter. You have to time your combinations so that you throw them at the right time.

Froch will have to get off first. He will have to throw much punches than Ward. He will have to set up his haymakers with decoy combinations and deception. He will have to use timing. And most importantly he has to back Ward up and land to the body early.

If he weakens Ward to the body early Ward wont have the legs to run during the late rounds. If he takes the body early, he will probably win the fight. He can and probably will catch Ward with his haymaker eventually and Froch has to know he will need to knock Ward down if not out to win. He can do this, he just has to catch Ward by surprise in the way Ali caught Foreman for example.

This is the same **** I heard before the Kessler fight. You're basically calling me biased for saying Ward should be rated higher and should be the favorite over Froch. You can call it bias, but it's reality. Ward is the betting favorite and pretty much everyone has him ranked above Froch.

Ward is so boring. I really hope Froch wins but I think Ward is gonna take it.

Ward isn't getting pass Froch jab and he doesn't have the power to get Froch's respect. Ward had trouble with Abraham's jab until he fatigued. The only 2 guys that can beat Froch at 168 are Bute and Direll.

Out Classed? now, im all in a favor of a good clean fair fight..which leads me to say..Ward steams forwards with his head, as kessler found out, My main Gripe is, SOG has not travled away enough whilst froch has been on the road through out the entire tourny..If this fight is held in CA, with a Home town Bias Ref, SOG will win the fight and not fairly..the Froch fans will be very upset. To draw a picture..SOG will stem forwards, make contact with his head russle up against froch(as we know froch can be a bit panic strucken against the ropes) Ref will allow it, just like in the kessler and round and round it will go...Froch may as well pull a Direll if there isnt fair deplomacy on the REF and location and ring size..there are major belts involved here, froch has proved him self well worth his punching weight..i pray to Show Time sports, Plz, lets have a good fair fight with indipendant ref'ing and judging and keep pride with in the sports unlike the Ultimate Jerk off championship or Strike force..for instance, keith jardine almost died to stay in the fight against the Turk in his last bout, yet Paul Daily(also from Notts) Was stopped with a few seconds left on the clock in the first round after a stumble over and a few light bangs on the floor, such BS and the lowest common denominator, CA location, CA Judge's and CA Ref....i no longer even give that **** the time of day..dont let that happen to such a classic, graceful sport as Boxing.

Obveoulsy i think it has to be a USA location..but the Ref should be indipendant and so should the judges... i have froch to knock out SOG in such a situation. O Nottingham..is full of fun, o Nottingham is full of fun....come on Carl.

Froch to win by late KO or more likely a UD. Froch is the real deal, probably has the strongest chin in boxing today, can box and can brawl. Surprised he isn't in the P4P rankings to be honest.....

    :huh

Froch gonna surprise you boys come fight night, SOG has a nervous look about him these days. probably because he knows if he headbutts froch, froch is the kind of guy to kick him in the balls right back.

I dont think so. Dirrell struggled against Froch and I believe Direll is faster than Ward.

I agree that Ward has the edge here. But as I see it there are some unknown factors.

Ward has the best skill in the division but he is also the ugliest cheater I have seen since Zab Judah gave Floyd Mayweather a good one in the nutters. When Ward starts up with his cheating Froch will try to play it ugly himself. I would not be surprised if the fight ends with a DQ.

Another unknown factor is Frochs desire to win. After Ward starts to dictate the fight with his superior skill, ugly tactict and endless mouling on the inside, Froch will go crazy and fight like life and death for the remaining rounds. At some point Ward might break, especially if the ref has taken a step back amd allowed fouling to be fair play.

Well, firstly, there's not a ****ing prayer that Ward stops him. That would absolutely stun me.

Froch doesn't win any fights on paper and this'll be no exception. Ward may very well win but I expect it to be very competitive.
