As for the person the posted Dwight QWai would have trounced Hill I find that funny-Hill would have boxed his ears off-easily I might add.

    Lets see:

Takes out Leaslie Stewart who at the time was 27-1.The same Stewart who years latter gave Lightheavy Moorer problems before being stopped in 8 rounds.Hill took him out in 4.

Jean Marie Emebe-good tough contender who was 25-4.Hill stops hin in 11.

Willie Featherstone-Canadian Lightheavyweight champion and 19-3-1.Hill took him out in round 10.

Bobby Czyz-former champion who at the time of his fight with Hill was 34-3.Hill wins decision.

Joe Lasisi-20-0 power puncher who Hill takes out in round 7

James Kinchen-46-6-2-Couldn't even make it out of round 1 vs Hill.

Frank Tate-Olympic Gold Medalist 30-2-Hill beat him not once but TWICE.

Adolpho Washington-19-1-1-Future Cruiserweight champ-Hill defeats him.

Fabrice Tiozzo-25-0-Future champ and Hill beat him TWICE.

Sergio Daniel Merani-28-4-3 South American Lightheavyweight Champion.

    Crawford Ashley-20-6-1-Commonwealth Lightheavyweight champion,

Drake Thadzi-27-7-Year after Hill EASILY decisons him he goes onto beat JAMES TONEY.

    Lou Del Valle-22-0
    Henry Maske-30-0 WBA lightheavyweight champion.

Those were 14 of his title defences against some pretty good oppostion wouldn't you say?

Lets not also forget that Hill was a 2 time cruiserweight champion beating Tiozzo and unbeaten Brudov. He also gave Mormeck all he could handle in their second bout when at the time Mormeck was considered the best Cruiserweight in the world.

Hill was a boxer with great movement and a great jab.He turned his weakness into his strength buy the fact that he knew his limitations and never ventured away from them.He lost to only the absoulte best having been only stopped TWICE in a career that lasted from 1984 to 2007!!!

    Conteh?

A lot of people don't rate him that high either really.

Hill's wins record is a notch below even his anyway. In fact it's a notch below Chris Eubank's:lol:

The fact you had the brazen shame to mention the inept Crawford Ashley, featherstone, merani etc or a totally shot james Kinchen just sums things up.Hill was a solid fighter and model pro but trying to pump up his record like that is never going to come off looking convincing.

Ashley was EBU and Commonwealth Lightheavyweight champion idiot.
    I wouldn't call him pathetic.

His best days were in the mid-80s as a middleweight, i actually don't think he really recovered from the Roldan loss.Looked like **** in almost every fight i saw him in afterward.

the Hearns bout is an exception, but that may have said as much about where Hearns was in his career as it did about Kinchen.Predictably he looked poor against Tiozzo and got a couple undeserved title shots at 175, but the man was done.A year can be a long time in boxing for a fighter already in decline.

I saw loads of his fights. He was crap.

A big puncher, but not an effective one or any kind of talent.Way down the list of good pure punchers from that era.

exactly. Not many guys had that sort of resume. Somehow some guys get underrated like Virgil. Just Maske and DeValle alone are good names, and Virgil had many. I am not sure why people underrate him, but he is not just underrated a little he is underrated a lot.

Hearns out boxed him but he didn't stop him. Fact is Virgil had some great wins and he should be top 10 light heavyweight. Then to move up and win the cruiserweight title.

Hm, compare his defences to Calzaghe´s and Hopkins´. The difference isn´t exactly big.

When a fighter like Kinchen almost beat a fighter like Hearns.......you know Tommy's best days were past him. He did turn back the clock and put on an excellent performance against Hill, a fight I expected him to lose at the time.

I am rarely a person who believes in bad nights, but the night Tommy fought Kinchen he was not fighting his best. Had he fought Kinchen a year later he would have easily won a decision. That was right after Iran Barkley beat him and he was not sharp at all.

The main difference is, when those two stepped up - Calzaghw with Kessler, Hopkins with Trinidad, Tarver, Wright, Calzaghe, Pavlik, Pascal - they won. Hill - with Hearns, DM, Jones - lost.
