Credit to Floyd for taken on Vic. Outside of Pac and Martinez, Vic is the most appropriate opponent choice.

I think at this stage Manny has to or atleast should pick an opponent who is equally deserving, I dont think a third Marquez fight will help him much at this stage, its clear Floyd is taking Ortiz for that South Paw power punching style, Perhaps Manny should look for a speedy boxer counter puncher to fight.....

I wonder if the size and stance of Ortiz will give Floyd any trouble?

Never gonna happen. Mayweather thinks in terms of risk/reward. Regardless this is far from a bad fight, Ortiz is young and hungry and looked a different animal last time out than he did compared to the Maidana fight. Roll on Sep 17th.

    Floyd's a smart guy.

He'll own boxing for the rest of the year now.

He'll get 80$ of the purse

He's trumped Pacquiao for the second fight in a row

And he'll make a lot of money from it

You know, he'd make a heck of a promoter Mayweather

    It's all timing

Like who? There's no top boxers around that weight with Mayweather's style.

Southpaws in the past have given Floyd trouble, But I dont think that will be the case here, Victor is a big south paw who doesnt have the same kind of speed that Judah or Corley had, So I dont see Floyd getting into too much trouble here, though if Victor does catch him with that right hook Floyd will do that Judah dance as he did with Mosley...

Pacquiao vs. Marquez is the ultimate lose lose match

As Marquez is really underrated. And Mayweather has already humilated him.

What I'm saying is, Marquez could cause Manny way more problems, and he'd not get any credit for it even if he did fight well.

    It's all styles

    And Manny doesn't?

When's the last time Manny got in with anyone for less than $20 million?

Not many boxers are going to give Floyd too much trouble.

    Maybe Martinez............at 160
