After the Maidana and before the Berto fight fans both *******s and *****s are crucifying Ortiz in every forum saying he's a heartless piece of **** quitter and should quit boxing for good. After the Peterson fight fans say Ortiz is massively over-hyped and will serve better as a gatekeeper. After beating a clear over-protected over-hyped fighter in Berto, now he's suddenly becomes a Beast at 147, a legit opponent for Pac or Floyd and its crazy how all these *****s are rejoicing that this fight shits Pac's last 3 fights. Really? I bet all *****s would say Victor won't win against Cotto Clottey and Margo before he defeated Berto. Now they all sing in unison that as soon as Floyd beats Ortiz he's gonna be the new P4P King :patsch:patsch:patsch

Or when the questioned fighter turns it around and changes peoples opinions of him.

Seriously, I don't get the hate. Are you not a boxing fan? You get another big fight to watch from an ATG.

Ortiz became a threat right after the Berto fight and proved he's better at WW. Check my post history, I said Pac and May deserve credit if they decide to fight him.

Much better fight than Marquez and Mosley

So a fighter can't come back after a loss? I guess anyone who loses the first time should just retire? Who gives a **** what everyone perception of Ortiz was before Berto, he proved he's a different fighter after that fight. Who cares about Cotto, Clotty and Margo at this point. Cotto is a JMW and until Clotty and Margo win a significant fight, they don't matter right now.

and also ortiz deserves his shot, he eventually has to step up to that level, imagine him winning it would make him a huge star.
Its the only acceptable fight left at welter since pac is busy, he will fight a southpaw comming of a good win, I have 0 problem with this fight, great for boxing.

You forgot to mention everybody and their mommas was picking Berto(1st candidate to fight Pac before Mosley got signed) to KO Ortiz. He was a 5-1 favorite if im not mistaken.
Ortiz had a FOTY candidate with him and clearly beat him.

How come you didnt mention that?? Also plenty of us were saying we would also like to see a Pac-Ortiz match up if the JMM fight did not get made.

Look here, Ortiz is a young kid who just upset a man everybody here on ESB claimed he would quit against.
The kid is a power puncher, not in his 40s, the fights not happening at a catch weight and Floyd is comming off of a very long lay off.
That in itself makes this fight risky for Mayweather alot can go wrong if Floyd doesnt prepair properly for this fight, Though I predict a replay of Corrales vs Mayweather in this fight.
its a much better fight in this one fight Floyd has comming back than the last few fights Manny has had.... Floyd is not fighting somone comming off of a loss, he is not fighting someone who should have retired 3 years ago. he is not fighting someone he already fought twice....
Floyd is doing boxing a service by giving us this fight, ***** all you want but Pacquiao has had a few weeks to challenge Ortiz and make that fight happen, dont get mad cus Pacquiao is looking at Marquez.... be mad cus your following a ****ing Jack who dont want to fight any young fighters.

Have some class seriously, and rise above this pettyness

You'd be wining like a *****, no matter who the opponent was.

Ortiz was stopped on a cut. By a ref. He didn't quit. And was up by 3 rounds in that fight when it happened

You'r just blubbing like a baby as, yet agian, Floyd is taking on the legit threat in the divsion, and Mannys taking some cheryy picke pensioner...............

No thats the thing. *******s are not boxing fans. They are fans of Pac only. Anything that takes the spotlight away from Pac makes them furious. Expect Ortiz bashing threads until the fight day.

Just like how they always turn any JMM thread into a hate thread. JMM and PBF make *******s very insecure.....

This is great for boxing *******s!!!! there is more fighters other than PAc.

The lack of boxing knowledge depresses me.

If you'd watched all these fights, you'd know that Ortiz has been beating the crap out of everyone he has faced, for years now.

The Maidana and Peterson results are very misleading

He was beating Maidana easily, when the ref pulled him out

He beat Peterson easily as well.
