    I think the weak part of your theory is that Kessler won his fight, got a belt back and was schedule to fight Green... So I dont understand why he quit if he didnt have the eye injury.

    I am sure Sauerland would be able to offer Bute 2,5 - 3 mio. $ to come fight in Denmark without problems. There´s just no chance on earth that Bute would accept that. Kessler probably only have 2 fight left after giving Stieglitz a beating and he wants to earn some big bucks. Kessler wanted Bute and he didn´t travel to Montreal just to be a tourist. I think they gave up on Bute´s now though after recieving the interbox offer, coz now Kessler speaks about a rematch against Ward.

    I'm 100% sure that if the offer is 2,5 not even mentioning 3 M $ Bute will sign the fight right away.

    I know that Showtime gave Interbox 2M$ to have the rights on the Magee fights, but I dont know about Bute being paid 2M$.

    Yeah I know I think the Romanian press got a little to excited about that rumor. I've read somewhere else that the purse was $1.2 million U.S. for Bute, while Magee received $250,000 U.S.

    Ok that's more what I heard too, but anyway, if it's 3M$ it's a lot more money than Bute ever had.

    Kessler Will do The Right thing! Fight Glitz, Beat Him, Then Sign the Fight with BUTE.

    1. Kessler Needs more rounds

    2. More Money Involved if he gets the WBO belt.

    3. He only has maybe 3-4 fights left in him depending on eye!

    If those figures are correct no way Bute will take less than 3M to fight Kessler. And the way I see it those figures look very reasonable. No way his biggest purse is 1M with 15,000 people and a major US network televising. If that was correct Interbox would definetely screw him over.

    To speculate a little further I'd say that Kessler would probably take the fight for 4M. Bute should then have 3M. The lower purse is his payment for homefield.

    Question is if the fight can generate that kind of money? Well Showtime pays 2M. Maybe 2½. I reckon the scandinavian rights are worth some 1M+. Rights to the UK and others might generate another million. (I assume that Canada is covered by Showtime).

    Then there's the gate. Let's say that the tickets cost 100 USD on the average and 20K people will attend then we have another couple of million. Then there's site fee. Let's say half a million.

    All in all that would be 9½ million. Of course these are very rough estimates so I'd appreciate some input.

    Not bad, just puting some stuff in perspective.

    - Showtime put 6M$ for 3 Bute's fights. Maybe Interbox can use like 1.5M in the Magee fight and more for Kessler for exemple, but I dont know why they would put more money than what they contract, so your 2.5M$ is doubtfull.
    - I really hope we can have 20k fans there, but the most we had for a boxing fight was the last Pascal/Hopkins fight with 18k.
    - I guess Interbox or Saurland would want some of the profit (whoever organise it)
    - Usualy in Canada, even if HBO canada exist, when a local fighter is fighting on HBO USA, they are on PPV in canada and not on HBO Canada. So it's some money there.

    I dont know about the other stuff you talked about (UK ppv for exemple), but wanted to help you trying to figure the money both fighters could have.
