I'm hardly elated over this fight anyway. Don;t get me wrong, as I always say, **** Floyd and Pac for both doing this absolute bull****, they should have fought ages ago, pair of ****ing clowns
atsch You really are a cocksucker. Your calling one of the best fighters in the last 10 years a hype job.
Yeah, same guy floyd fought! I never claimed that was a good fight for Floyd, I thought that was a **** win for Floyd. This isn't a me defending Floyd thing Flea! Don't know what gave you that impression, **** win for both men. Rankings? You know me better than to think I would ever follow the rankings of an alphabet body mate. I'm talking common sense, which means my statements stand. ortiz is coming off a win over berto, margo did **** all before Pac, same with Mosley, and JMM is the 135 pound champ. This is 'current' boxing dynamics, and you know this, that's what I don't get. I know you said on the last thread you only ask for good fights but anyway, maybe I'm too much of a purist haha, it's the way forward though imo The other stuff we seem to agree on.
**** off flea its the next best fight out there. if manny had signed to fight him you would be hyping it up.
Who the **** are you ya' cheeky ****? If Manny is gonna' fight Ortiz as part of two fights a year, damn straight, little problem there. I stand by my claim that Manny would annihilate him, probably early, and that the win would add little to his legacy. This is Floyds comeback. If I only get one chance this year, I want more. I want something that IS gonna' add to Floyds legacy, I want to see him forced into a good fight, not to put on a show. I don't want an up-and-down war, but a stylistic challenge for Floyd. I still think Marquez is a tougher fight for Pac than Ortiz. I still think that Ortiz would beat Marquez at 147. And I still think Pac and Floyd beat Ortiz with relative ease. I'm struggling to think of anyone. Pac has unfinished business with Marquez. Get him out of the way. I'd rather Floyd have waited to fight Pac, or not bother. If Pac doesn't retire after JMM (or doesn't take a worthy challenge) I'll be rightly annoyed. Floyd doesn't need to fight Pac, he can go up in search of harder fights. I'm sure P-Dub or Martinez would gladly meet him at 154/155. I actually think Pac IS going to go up to middleweight after JMM :deal Chavez Jr? atschatschatsch Hope not. He looked **** against a human bag of **** in Zbik, who RP was bigging up big time (ain't seen him since :think Or is he banned??!? Only just clicked ain't spoke to him on here this week.....odd?!? No.) I do take back my earlier sentiments that this is a '**** fight', that was heat of the moment upon hearing the news. I do think it's a bit underwhelming though, Ortiz will be competitive for a few rounds, then Floyd will frusutratingly carry him and smile. I will watch it, and will look forward to it, I always do look forward to seeing if Floyd will surprise me, if it will all come together for me and my mind will be blown.
Just the promotion of Mayweather for this fight is enough to put me off. "I am ready to return to the ring and give my fans a fantastic night of boxing by fighting the best out there and for me, that is Victor Ortiz," "At this stage of my career, these are the challenges I look for, a young, strong, rising star looking to make his mark in boxing by beating me." Yeah, for the WBC belt right? A belt don't make you, does it Mayweather? What an annoying ****ing ****. Just a lying twat. I don't give a **** about him and hope Ortiz beats him, but he obviously won't because he's another opponent who people have overrated. If this is him trying to make his career without Pac, then I am not impressed. **** off.
Can I add that if Pac fought Ortiz as part of a double header with Shane....that for me, would be a disappointing year. Clottey-Margo wasn't great, but they were big physical challenges, although, as I pointed out beforehand, favoured Pac stylistically. That's what make them 'good' wins for Pac. Mosley was a joke fight before, and the performance disappointing. Pac didn't lose a round, but it was akin to Floyds fight with Marquez IMO, despite the weight. A ****, **** fight. Now, if Floyd beat Ortiz; I'd definitely class it a good win, how could I not. I actually like Ortiz and rate him, and as I said earlier, he is amongst the top Welters now. How strong the division is at this point, or whether Berto was good enough to warrant such a lofty ranking in the first place (maybe the division allowed it by being average), well, mean little, Ortiz is decent, and will be bigger than Floyd on fight night. He is a 'challenge', just not the kind I would've hoped for. Enough to make Floyd beating him a seriously impressive scalp/great win? No chance. Now, Marquez and Ortiz in a year for Pac, that'd be quality. And if Floyd goes on to take on a big challenge in a 'boxing year' (so to speak) then Ortiz will make more sense and be easier to stomach. But as I said, it's pretty unlikely Floyd will do nothing for a while after Ortiz, and I don't know why we should continue to take it. I'd be haappier with Floyd if he beat Ortiz and then fought, I dunno, Spadafora within the year, that'd be progress. But a couple more years of him popping up with something negative every so often before he fights someone else/doesn't fight again?
