Im not being biased here I said I would respect Pac or floyd fighting a young lion coming off a good win at a respectable WEIGHT, and Floyd stepped up.

Now ask yourself when the last time Pac did this....... Still waiting......

For those who wanna bring up maidana that was 2 years ago and a weight clasz below so its irrelevant.

Plus ortiz schools Maidana at 147

ortiz is a just sacrificial lamb offered by GBP and happily accepted by floyd. easy fight and money for floyd. if berto won, berto would have been called "the lion" who is a big threat for floyd.

    ortiz is a live opponent

he aint coming off no other fighters leftovers he aint recently been battered and floyd aint asking for him to come in weightdrained...

it's too easy for ignorant people to point to the fact Ortiz lost a fight!! wow!! this is boxing everyone cant be undefeated... he lost a fight to a one of the best light WW in the world and now he has redeemed himself and come back stronger!! get over it.. who do you want mayweather to fight?? (besides the obvious)

    good fight imo

Oh for ****s sake, all we'll be hearing about are 'young lions' for the next year until Floyd comes out of retirement yet again. Behind all the bull****, Floyd avoided the biggest fight out there, yet again. I wish both him and Pac would retire and be done with it. Boxing doesn't need them any more if they're not going to fight each other.

ortiz was able to land on Berto cause he is a flat footed stiff target.
Victor will get fustrated with the speed. gonna be a lop sided joke.
Another fighter with 1 fight at welter. proves zippo

young lion is just a term to hype ortiz up for this fight. in reality he is still a cub and the real lions, like pac and floyd would just gobble him up. the truth is both are wasting what is remaining of their good years by not fighting each other. hopefully, floyd gets his tune-up and would set a pacquiao fight next year.

He also came off a draw two fights ago against a JWW prospect and is Maidana's left over.:thumbsup

Anyway I actually like this fight. Hope Ortiz comes with the same mindset he had against berto.
