It's more than just a term to hype Ortiz. Not only will we have the usual 'take the test' crap, it will be 'how many young lions has Pac fought?' and yet another stick to beat Pac over the head with. I'd seriously rather they both retire than have this crap for another year. Boxing is bigger then both of them put together.

So what youre really making a comparrison too, is how many fights Floyd has had in the last 3 years and many fights pac has had in the last 3 years.

    Still waiting....

Oh ya, pac has been fighting all the top names in the WW division and floyd has ducked all the top names in the wW division..

    Just sayin":rasta

The same Maidana that many though should have lost to Morales. Ortiz is not good.

Floyd fights a green young fighter who needs more big fights, isn't near the p4p top 10, has a wide open style made for Floyd, and just had his first bout at welter. (Oh, and Ortiz is 1-1-1 aginst world class, in their prime talent).

Pac fights a top 5 p4p guy who has given him trouble in two previous fights and is coming off a a string of wins.

Gee, which is more respectable? :huh

Look man, I like this fight. Glad to see Floyd back and taking on a decent fight.. But don't make Ortiz into something he's not. David Diaz was as good a fight as this is for Floyd.. Look at his last 2 years of fights, and it tells you all you need to know. Ortiz looked like a rejuvenated fighter last time out, but that doesn't change the way he's looked the other 5 or 6 fights..

Usually when we see a fighter fighting one way then it changes for a night, guess what?? it's usually just a good night and not the norm for him.. We can say this for great fighters, good fighters, journeyman, club fighters, to whatever.. If we see a great fighter have an off night we won't call him **** unless this repeats itself.. Do you see what I'm saying?? So when a decent fighter looks really good, we can't automatically say he's a really good fighter. We say he had a great night, and can only hope that trend continues..

This is a very good fight and I'm hyped, but don't make this something it aint..

Guys who were in the front of the line
    1 Pac
    2 Martinez
    3 Bradley/Khan
    4 Ortiz
Cotto belongs on this list somewhere, just not sure where to place him...

true but when these two guys believe that they are bigger than boxing itself with their egos, then we would just continue to see them fighting guys other than themselves and would hype them up as someone who is a perceived threat.

I seem to remember a lot of Pac fans shitting on Floyd for "making" poor little Juanny Marquez fight at welterweight.

What weight is Pac fighting him at?

Where did I say anything about Pac's last few fights? It's pretty obvious Arum has been milking the last couple of bouts for everything it's worth. I'm just trying to throw a little balance into everyone saying that PBF-Ortiz is a better fight than Pac-JMM.

How exactly is taking on a guy new to a weight division and outside the p4p top 10 better than a guy who is new to a weight division and is in the p4p top 5?

dude you forgot the part where Floyd went to the actual fight of Ortiz-Berto. He was going to fight the winner regardless.

he was no where to be seen at Mosley-Pac fight.
