What the ****? Just about everybody (everyone with a non biased brain) was loving the possibility over Ortiz vs Mayweather after the Berto fight.

It's a good, legit fight. Get over it.

    FFS man.... :patsch:patsch:patsch

Ortiz may not be on mayweathers level but newsflash no one is except pac! That doesnt mean that ortiz is not good, hes a very talented fighter. The fact is that Ortiz is a good size welter weight and he has carried his power! Another thing, Ortiz always gets his punches in. Even when he lost to maidana he made marcos feel him that night.. It just turned out that maidana fought like a ****ing cyborg and he went through hell to get the W!

right after the Mosley fight Pacquiao already had the Marquez fight bascially locked up so Mayweather has to fight the 2nd ranked WW in the world

Anyone who says otherwise is a ****ing clueless troll, and should stop calling themself a fan of our sport.

I usually dont spout **** like that, but I really feel that Ortiz is a world class dangerous guy, and truly don't believe anyone on this forum would tell Ortiz he doesn't have a chance to his face in the gym.

I think it has the potential of danger to Floyd, as follows.
If Ortiz wobbles him a la Mosley, Ortiz is not likely to gas as did the ancient Mosley.

Of course, Ortiz does not have an iron chin himself. Will this lead to Floyd fighting differently than he has recently? WIll he throw early combos to try to get Ortiz out sooner? Will he--as a very secondary priority--try out anything to use against Pac?

Ortiz has a (small) chance, due to FLoyd's age and rustiness perhaps.

Of course, if Cortez is reffing, u can bet the house on Floyd without much worry.

Ortiz is good choice for either Floyd or Pac (aside from one another). Although his lack of experience at the elite level makes it, basically, a cherry pick...it's an intriguing fight, for a change, and I'm looking forward to it. Ortiz has a a ton of confidence right now, has the physical tools and the pedigree to make it a competitive fight. He also has the heart and charisma to make it entertaining (even the buildup to the fight). He is an undisputed champion. And he is YOUNG. This is refreshing.

Mayweather vs. Ortiz and Pacquiao vs. Ortiz are the next best fights out there other than each other. Who steps up to the plate, again?

Pacquiao fans quiet today. Must not like the news of the day.

I think this thread is a pretty good example of why Manny gets 1.3 million PPVs.........even though 50 million of them google him every day

    Pacquiao fans aren't boxing fans

They just like being in a little gang, abusing fighters.

They'd be abusing Tim Bradley if Mayweather chose him
