    Pacquiao - Marquez for sure..

I'd love Victor to put pressure on for all 12 rounds, but i just can't see it happening

After 2 closely contested fights between Pac and JMM . . . how could anyone argue?

    Mayweather's inactive. Ortiz is hungry.
Marquez and Pacquiao have had two closely fought bouts. But I believe Pacquiao has come on leaps and bounds since those bouts. Marquez is on a slow decline.

Interesting bouts. Who has more to lose?

If Ortiz-Mayweather is competitive...ring rust will be the excuse.
If Marquez-Pacquiao is competitive...I don't expect it to be, but it would be interesting to see what people say.

some pac fans would say that pac is indeed declining or slowing down. but if third fight is still close, it could be that jmm's style really favors him against pac.

Marquez does have a great style against Pacquiao, but Pacquaio has shown in the past that he can overcome, or at least fight on equal terms against Marquez, even with a style disadvantage. Like I said, I believe Pacquiao has come on leaps and bounds since his previous bouts with Marquez...but I wouldn't know what to think if the trilogy bout was close. Even if Pacquiao had a drastic decline, I would think he would still have too much for Marquez at this point in their respective careers.

JMM will be 38 when he faces pac. He is up there in age and has shown to be on the down slide. Also pac at this weight will be healthy and have power and speed. Manny will blow him out. Ortiz is young, has speed and power and could end it all with one punch. He will be 160 at fight nite. He will be like a bull. Mayweather taking a youn bull. Pac still fighting old, past it fighters

An old Marquez who hasn't proven himself at WW against an active Pacquiao who has and has more in the tank will be more competitive than Oritz against Mayweather who's younger and actually has a chance to really hurt Floyd? I don't think so.

I'm actually more excited to see Floyd-Ortiz than see a re-rematch that Manny and his team shouldn't have waited three years for. Manny-JMM will only be good depending on how Marquez looks at the weight. He actually didn't look as bad as people think he did at WW against Floyd it's just that he looked worse than he actually was because he was facing Floyd. JMM-Pacquiao 3 should be competitive at times but Manny should stop him eventually. Ortiz is young and hungry with good power and decent combinations so he should give Floyd a good test also since Floyd has been inactive and is 34.

I'm sorry to burst your bubbles but Floyd is no Superman, that time off & aging will affect him but the question is how much. Also, Floyd still relies on reflexes a bit too much so it'll be interesting to see how he adapts to aging.

Just a quick point....this isn't a welterweight match-up like one would think. Pacquiao isn't even a natural WW - as evident by his weigh-in and fight-night weights in his recent outings, as well as him being forced to eat in training to keep weight on.

When the two step in the ring to fight, their weights won't actually be that different to what they were the last time they met. They'll both be a little heavier, but Pacquiao won't be enjoying any more of a weight advantage than he did last time. I could be wrong with these figures, but when they met last time they were:

    Pac - 145
    JMM - 141

And in the Pac-Marg and JMM-Katsidis fights, they were:

    Pac - 148
    JMM - 145

Practically the same 3/4 pounds difference 3 years ago. You're all acting as though Pacquiao's grown 3 more inches in height and reach, and 15 pounds of extra muscle. Unlike Floyd and JMM when they fought, Pac and JMM are more evenly matched in terms of size, and due to their styles, their fights will always be more competitive.
