How about you look at it as a possible tune up for Pac - there is no way he would have came back to face Pac after this long lay off. Providing he beats Ortiz which I strongly believe he will (by TKO) then you should judge him on his next move after that.

If I was Mayweather, and I was finally ready to step in the ring with Pacquiao...I would NOT step in the ring with an active Pacquiao with great confidence, especially when I have been out of the ring for a year and a half. I don't care how good Mayweather is, or how good he claims to be...I would favour Pacquiao in the above situation. The Ortiz bout is a good one. Nothing more, nothing less. Giving the added fact that Ortiz is an aggressive southpaw, I'm tentatively taking more positives from this move by Mayweather than negatives.
