one live fighter ? Joe Bugner - he beat some of the best guys with titties around at the time Greg Page, James Tillis (although Tillis really won that one), and David Bey. What does Bugner do for an encore Floyd Jumbo Cummings looked mean as hell ( looks can scare people into not fighting sometimes, see : Thomas Hearns vs Marcos Geraldo) Winston Allen was a damn good liverpool roofer and a working class hero Scott Ledoux
from 88 to 92 i would say razor ruddock...........but tyson and lewis ruined ruddock.............so in 94 i would say big ol frank
Are you serious????? Bugner had been a pro, what, 18yrs and had several 'retirements' The same jumbo cummings who fought a draw with a comebacking joe frazier, returning after a 4/5yr absense, a few years before Winston Allen - im not gonna knock a working class hero Scott LeDoux - Im not 100% but didnt he retire after this fight, he was far from prime anyway Love that winston allen reply the more i look at it:good
Prime for prime,I see Ruddock winning, but as has been said,he was past it in '94. That's why I envisage Bruno winning in that year.
It took a peak Tyson 5 rounds to TKO Bruno. It took a young a aggressive Lewis 7 rounds to TKO Bruno, only 2 months before this hypothetical meet up in 1994. Tyson in 96 did manage to blast out a past it Bruno with a TKO3. So what on earth makes you think a past it Ruddock TKO 3 over Bruno.
In a match-up of prime verzions I would lean heavily towards Ruddock! However by 94 he was badly faded by this time, and Bruno should cruise to a solid UD 116-112/117-111 type.
Because, !. Bruno's power is completely overated and 2. IMO, he folds when hit, hasnt the smarts to hold on or even take a knee for a count. And i thnik Ruddock goes for him early. Brave guy though, i'll give him that - Tyson 2 aside
As i already said in my 2nd point mate, id fancy Ruddock to go for him early. He might not have been prime but he still carried the tools to upset Bruno. Just my 2 cents
Yes but your argument for Ruddock doing it in 3 is Bruno having now power. As i stated much better fighters than Ruddock took a lot longer to get rid of Bruno.
No, im not using the argument of Bruno's power as a reason for Ruddock to win in 3 rounds. Maybe its my fault for not making myself clearer. When you asked how i could see Ruddocks winning in 3 rounds, i was answering 2 questions. The first being that Bruno hasnt the power hes credited for, therefore not troubling Ruddock, hence my thoughts on a Ruddock win. The second was that i see Ruddock jumping on him pretty early. Again, just my opinion Are you saying Ruddock hasnt the power to do this to Bruno? EDIT- i should have said 'capabilities'
I think either man in 94 could have KOed the other. I think it is much more likely that Bruno outboxes Ruddock in 94 and that an KO or TKO from Ruddock would come, if it happened, towards the end of the fight when Bruno is gassing.
