i didn't expect Johnsons power to be that ineffective. Either Froch has an iron chin or Johnson lost power coming down in weight which Johnson himself said didn't happen.
Johnson landed some serious shots with full snap on them, at some point I was surprised to see Froch still standing. Froch's chin and conditioning is top notch.
Johnson looked pumped to the bollocks come fight night, I thought he looked good at the weight, even in the weigh in to come in under the weight like that i think they got there training and nutrition spot on... People say he looked boiled, but you would never boil down to that weight before a fight.... I tell you what he did look and that was old and that is why he was fatigued towards the end of the fight... What a chin Froch has thats grade A..
Out of the several right hands Johnson landed there was a right hand or two that were coming with the same nasty intentions it had against RJJ and Froch took them like they were skittles. He has a great chin.
Some of those shots would have knocked other fighters out, Froch has always had excellent punch resistance, I still think he can get shaken but he fights VERY well when he's hurt as shown against Pascal and Taylor. It would take an accumulation of bombs to knock him down. I'd probably rate Johnson's chin above Froch he barely seems to ever wince in pain.
He has an Iron chin, can be hurt though. Johnson was never a big banger, if Abraham caught him with those kind of clean shots he would in a lot of trouble. But what is even better than his chin, is his recovery skills and composure when tagged. Hope he doesnt underestimate Wards power. Yes he doesnt have natural one punch power, but he delivers them with good speed, and again that seems to have stunned Froch in the past (Pascal and Dirrell). Huge Froch fan BTW
Those same punches destroyed Allen Green, so I wouldn't say it's Johnsons lack of power. Froch has a chin, heart and recovers great.
