Benny Ricardo was great! Duke McKenzie was just horrific, I really do not want to see Duke McKenzie commentating on this fight he will just kill it.

Please primetime, No Duke McKenzie for this fight, Give him the night off and get someone energetic who actually cares and is not dull.

Duke McKenzie just slaughters fights with his poor comentating, his boring voice and his apathy, It would better if primetime made him sit this one out.

 

Did you forget the fact that this was on during 3 major shows? Obviously, the big one's, the two footy matches and then the opening of BGT.

And your estimate for the Khan/McCloskey fight was hardly close to what it really achieved now, was it?

I don't see whether it being on Peak hours of Saturday or not, make a difference. Amir did 900,000 on ITV at 4AM for Malignaggi and in all honesty, put out rubbish advertising for it. I'm sure a similiar amount (60K) would cough up at 4AM for a major fight like this.

I could see it doing similar figures for this fight, for sure.

 

It is phenomenal logic.

UK Prime time television + Two British Boxers, England Vs Northern Ireland. Easily marketable to the General public. Mccloskey undefeated which to them always helps. Primetime broadcasting the fight in both N.Ire and England. Brings in 60,000 buys...

From that.. you decide that a fight at 4.30am against an american opponent most of the general public have never heard of is going to do almost double...

 

I don't think this will sell anywhere near as many as McCloskey tbh.

The McCloskey fight had already been built up by Sky for weeks before hand and the falling out was well publisied hence giving Primetime free advertising. Secondly it was against a fellow British/ Irish fighter who will have pulled in a few Irish buys. Thirdly this is taking place at 4.30 in the morning.

Could be wrong but can't see this doing that well.

Ok, I'll put it another way.

What they are suggesting is that Primetime, which has a fraction of the subscribers as SKY, barely any promotional capabilities. Is going to outperform SKY's UK Prime time Khan PPV sales on bouts such his title challenge, which had the whole of the SkySportsNew publicity machine and Frank ****** behind them.... and not only that they are going to do it at 4.30am in the morning.

The difference is immense. It's the sole reason you won't see a 4.30am SKY PPV anytime soon short of it being a super fight.

It was actually around 600K at 2.45/3am, but it doesn't really matter as you can't compare free to air viewing figures.

Whenever Judah has been shown on sky or setanta he has lost from memory, albeit an entertaining loss. I see it as a hard sell unless twinned with Fury v Chisora which seems to be virtually signed reading between the lines

 

I'm sure ITV do a few hundred thousand at 4am whatever they put on

 

to do with the fact they charged £15 for Khans last fight with a **** undercard.

if they do a double header with Fury Chisora and the khan undercard don't fall apart ill give them the:thumbsup

This is the point really.. Without Chisora and Fury it bombs.. and do you really think Hennessey is going to not make the most out of this situation?
