Boxing fans are really spoiled with all these unifications. I havent remembered this many in a good while. Over the 6 months we will will probably get Rojas-Mijares, Haye-Klitschko, Ward-Froch and Khan-Judah. Looking forward to it:jjj

Mijares will do it. Great fighter can have a lull...Mijares still has enough.

Even as it stands he's one of the greatest super fly weights ever :deal

No worries, it's probably because you have a zero tolerance policy on people who are ignorant on the topic they're speaking on. Which I don't really consider a bad thing.

Appreciated, I often feel like I'm chasing lost causes, not many other people care about the divisions south of feather(with the exception of bantam), which happen to be my favourite.

Yah, but I can be rude and obnoxious, which isn't always a good thing IMO....oh, well, **** 'em

As per the bottom part, it's something I used to invest a lot more time into and still have way more than a passing interest in, I like the fact you also rate Mijares (still :good) and keep me updated I things I used to hae more time for.

Now it's all newspaper decision this, and racial laws that, and 65 round draw blah blah blah ;-)

Aye, work your way down the divisions, and when there's no more divisions to drop to, you go back in time to compensate.

I do have an undying love for Mijares which I often get some friendly abuse over. But I shan't relent, and at some point I'll have a thread on him that goes over three pages without me having to constantly bump it myself.

A few years ago you wouldnt have had to bump it, wasnt he a hot commodity and a top 10 p4p just a few years ago, but then after his loss to Darchinyan and his subsequent losses to Cermeno, he fell off everyones radar, except for your's obviously.

He was creeping in as far as I can recall, he was around about 9th on most peoples lists. The things is, I could never really envisage him beating Darchinyan. Sure, I always reiterate the point that I think he's an overall better fighter than Vic, but, and I know it's a cliche, but styles do make fights, and Vic's awkward, unorthodox brand of aggression always spelled disaster for Diamante. He just couldn't find a rhytem, which is something that has always been imperative to him having success against other quality opposition, that and the fact that Vic is one of the hardest ever hitters at super-fly, and Mijares is one of the lightest hitting P4P fighters of recent years. I think we all know the story with Cermeno, Mijares is abundantly better than him, he was just wasn't at a weight he really belonged at.

    Anyway though, MIJARES WAS ROBBED!
