The only bad thing about this, is that it was uploaded in 2010, after he refused testing, no where does it show a date on the video, nor anywhere else.

And another question, if Manny is so suspicious with his blood being drawn, why didnt he just refuse the testing 2 days prior to the fight? especially knowing that he alread submitted test?

Not discrediting the video, but its hard to tell when it was actually aired, this could have been aired in late 2009 for all we know.

What we all know and are aware of is fighters tend to make excuses when it comes to them lossing.

Again, not a gotcha. Setting the negotiating terms before a negotiation is not a negotiation. As I said, it can be a way to avoid a bout while saying you were negotiating.

Again, Mayweather can say what he wants and that is ok. And Pacquiao can say "no." That's how it works, regardless of what Mayweather negotiates with other fighters regarding non-mandatory testing.

For example, I can say to my girlfriend: Any time we have sex, I'm not going to use a condom. That's my stipulation; even though I said I might agree to use a condom in the past.

And she can tell me to eff off. There are no unilateral nnegotiations. That's an oxymoron. You have to have two people to agree to terms, particularly when the terms involve a non-mandatory procedure.

If you dont want the fight, though, you don't have to agree to negotiate. "My Way Or The Highway" is a sure-fire bet to prevent one from getting certain bouts.

So from that interview I got Pac had to take a blood test 2 days before his fight. He couldn't eat or drink after because he was draining himself to make weight. He felt weak 30 minutes after and felt his punches had no power in the Morales fight.

    • How much blood was taken for that vs the amount that would be taken for PED testing?
    • Wouldn't the effects of the blood test be magnified due to him not being able to eat or drink?
    • One blood test makes Pac weak for 3 full days minimum? Really? Ok.

Well i do know this, they recommend that you dont eat anything before they take blood. and yes it would have a higher effect on you cus you have no food in your body.
However the blood work having a 3 day effect on him, I dont buy that **** one bit....

Again no response to Manny's team in the first negotiations? You reflect ALL the blame on Mayweather completely.

About setting the terms before the negotiations actually happen, that's what you get to do when you're a superstar. Do you think any of Manny's opponents go into negotiations thinking they'll get a 50/50 split or more on purse? No, it's already set they're getting less than 50% because they're facing Pac.

Pac can say no. He has said no. His fans need to understand this though. :thumbsup

I'm just wondering if him not being able to eat or drink after the tests amplified the effects. Like you said I would assume yes because you don't have any food in your body. That wouldn't be the case in this since Pac is 'fighting at his natural weight'.
And three day effect is laughable. Wasn't he seen sparring the very next day after taking a blood test in one of his recent bouts. We need to ask his sparring mate if he has pillow punches those 3 days!

I doubt he would have been sparring that close to the fight to be honest with you, but he was still doing work in the gym.
I dont buy the idea that it effected him all the way through the fight, I really dont. Again I was in that gym during the time this fight happend, and when team Pac got back from Vegas it was more about the gloves than anything and more about moving forward getting Manny free of M&M promotions.

There was nothing discussed about blood, it was all about the distractions and Winnings.

Another issue here that I am having a hard time understanding, Manny states in that Video he beleived it was a tactic used against him having that extra blood drawn... Okay Manny if this is true, Then why the **** would you turn around and sign with that very promoter later on down the road?
Wouldnt that be proof enough that you should stay clear of that mother ****er? especially after he had Winnings gloves in the contract, and according to you, had extra blood taken from you as an added tactic?

Here's a hint on the timeline:

At 1:26 or so, Pacquiao mentions his manager "Shelly." As in Shelly Finkel.

    Guess what?

Finkel hasn't managed Pacquiao since August 2006. See Friday, Dec 29, 2006 article here (second article down from top, titled "Manny Pacquiao Picks Top Rank, Inc Over Golden Boy Promotions"):

    http://mannypacquiao-fight.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html

Arum picked up Pacquiao after Finkel's contract with Pac ended.

The first Morales fight was 3/19/05. The second Morales fight was on 1/21/06. The third Morales fight was on 11/18/06.

So, Pacquiao is here talking about his manager "Shelly." That means this interview likely took place before the third Morales fight, when Finkel was no longer Pacquiao's manager, legally.

Also, the video says at the start that it aired in 2005. That would make sense. My guess is that it was part of a promotional "rematch" tour to hype the Morales II fight.

Thus, the interview isn't taking place any later than 2006 and likely took place in (late) 2005, as the video says itself.

if you want to turn it into that, you probably could, However isnt it possible that Manny could have just been recalling the entire incident all together and was naming all people involved at that time?

I mean I am not going to say Arum was there if he wasnt right?

As far as what it said at the start of the vid, that was added its not part of the actual production, who ever uploaded this added that part. do you want to know the proof, Read it, it says this vid was taken just after the 1st fight indicating there was at least a 2nd fight.

Right, and when you fight the face of the sport and the pound-for-pound king, you're not dictating the terms. At best, you're getting met halfway.

And that's what Pacquiao did, met Floyd halfway, by agreeing to do the non-mandatory testing at all.

And so, Pacquiao walked towards Mayweather on the demand. And Mayweather walked away. And here we are.

Sure, and its possible I am the King Of Mars and my posting on ESB now is all a dream.

Or else, the interview could be from 2005, as it says it is, and Pacquiao could be talking about his manager at that time, Shelly Finkel.

The interview reads as a guy who lost a fight explaining to the home fans why he lost and why he will do better in the rematch (which was set to take place on 1/21/06; which means the interview probably took place late 2005 or so). Everything fits here, I'm not sure some alternative explanation is needed. Why discuss the Morales fight, and why you lost it, in this much detail unless you're about to fight Morales again?
