I do not like Mayweather in any way shape or form. As far as I'm concerned, he's an arrogant, wife beating, cherry-picking a-hole who bores the hell out of the casual sports fans who buy his fights then say "that's what wrong with boxing."

I actually think Manny's a decent guy who has done a ton of good for his people. Most of the time, I've cheered for him to win.

I am the "fight guy" in my group of friends. The one with the fight parties who typically picks up the tab for the PPVs and lets my buddies know when a good fight is about to go down on TV. As a result, my friends ask me if I think an upcoming fight will be good or why things happen/don't happpen in boxing.

Now, with Floyd fighting Ortiz, they are asking "why not Pac?" And the only thing I can tell them is "because Manny won't do the testing Mayweather wants and Ortiz will." Most have responded, "Manny's being stupid, he should just take the test," and I have no response.

It is impossible to continue to support Manny in this endeavor.

I am officially changing my tune. Until Manny looks into a camera and publicly declares that he will conform to OSDT, it is impossible for me to support him.

He's looked into a camera and stated that. Then his boy came out on Pac/Margo 24/7 and said they only agreed to a 7 day cutoff...

Pac then came out with another video stating he's agreed... So we shouldn't question the video even though the first time it was a proven lie.

    I'll just say I disagree.

Because you are considered the "fight guy" in your inner circle, they are more inclined to agree with you with anything regarding fights. If you said something else favoring Manny, they'd agree to that too.

Let me put it this way. Mayweather stood in the ring and announced on live television in front of a couple million viewers that he would fight with testing.

After his fight with Mosley, Pac did not state on live tv that he would take the test. Pac needs a live, public declaration to save his credibility. Something edited and subtitled, then retracted, is crap.

he just said i hope he gets his personal life taken care of. he also said he could do with or without mayweather and he's perfectly satisfied with how his career has turned out. he wants to fight because the fans want the fight. he said this without knowing mayweather was going to return.

Any ideas of a better way to explain the fiasco? Most guys don't want a five minute summary of negotiations that may or may not have happened.

I've been stating he needs to do this for a while now. His supporters will just say his internet video is sufficient enough though.

This. Other than the money I think Pac could care less if he fought Mayweather.

I agree. Manny has said he's agreed on camera, but he has been very inconstant and never said he'd test on a wide spread level. Floyd has said the same thing over and over and everybody knows his stance

Would you agree to what your Rival wants! I know I know its for the biggest fight in boxing history, but Pac doesnt want to give any edge to Mayweather. Honestly they are both being hard headed.

You've seen both sides of the argument, its here every day. Whether you want to relay both sides to your friends or not is up to you.

I do loans and sell real estate for a living. Every completed deal has some compromise on both sides. The best deals happen when each party feels like they gave up a little something in order to get what they really wanted.

I feel you though man foreal. I'm in your shoes all the time with my friends.
They ask why haven't they fought
I tell them Floyd wants many to drug test and then they go on to ask why doesn't Manny take the tests.
    Then it gets complicated
Do you tell them Manny has agreed, but never told Floyd's people he's agreed

Finally more are starting to see the light.:good What's so unreasonable about wanting to ensure a clean fight for both fighters?:-(

After about 15 seconds, the average guy doesn't want to listen anymore. There's only one way I've found to explain it in one sentence, and that's why I wrote the thread.
