Gotta give credit where it's due. When Shane KO'd Margarito impressively, Mosley rightfully got credit as a dangerous fighter for anyone in his weight class. It's no different with Ortiz. Berto may not be an elite but he is solid. Beating him doesn't automatically make you Ali but it's still significant. Vic entering the ring on fight night weighing over 160 lbs along with his punching power makes him dangerous for anyone, especially within the first 3 or 4 rds. That's closer to fact than opinion.

Marquez hasn't proven to us he can be effective at 140 or above whereas Vic looks to be very comfortable. If you believe Marquez can carry his speed, power, and skills to the welterweight division effectively then wouldn't that make Floyd's victory over him much more impressive?

I pick Ortiz to win, but really this catchweight stuff is ridiculous. If the fight result would be different with a catchweight, and the fight is for a title at 147, how can this fight result be for the title? The catchweight stuff is ruining boxing. Fights for a title should be held at the weight the title is for.

Tell that to dumb *******s. This is Pacquiao third fight at a catchweight in which he started the catchweight vs Cotto almost 2 years ago to Margarito almost a year ago.

I'd pick Malignaggi to beat Marquez at 144.
Marquez can't fight at that weight.

Cause Ortiz got pop and will be a way bigger fighter on fight night then Mayweather vs Marquez.

You mean you want JMM to go to 147 to fight Pac? JMM WANTS PAC BADLY, but i would make it competitive by making it a catchweight. JMM above all deserves this fight.

I want Pacquiao to go down at atleast 140 pounds vs Marquez rubbermatch. I bet Pacquiao would make that weight without a problem but instead wants to fight at 144 pound bs catchweight to his big advantage in his favor.
