Maybe the rumor is true that he wants to be just like Money. He surely likes to fight Floyd's "leftovers"
The fight before Castillo fought Mayweather, he fought a guy named Juan Angel Macias (26-15-2 at the time) http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=6116&cat=boxer. Before he fought Mayweather the second time, he fought the great Verdell Smith (42-39-3 at the time) http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=4909&cat=boxer. The fight before Mayweather, Bruseles fought and had a technical draw with Ener Julio (25-7-1 at the time) http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=6644&cat=boxer. The fight before Mayweather, Carlos Hernandez had just fought Sandro Marcos (21-7-2 at the time) http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=15481&cat=boxer. The fight before Mayweather, Victoriano Sosa fought the heralded Luis Sosa (19-19-3 at the time) http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=51025&cat=boxer. I could go on, but frankly none of this has any bearing on ****ing anything. Let fighters fight and stay active. What the hell does it matter if he's picking up a small potato fight before Pacquiao? It's commonplace. When Roberto Duran took Ray Leonard's welterweight title, he was just coming off of the wildly impressive TKO victory over ATG Wellington Wheatley (7-2-0 at the time). :good http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=2190&cat=boxer
No worse than pac fighting over the hill ,shellshocked fighters. **** pac **** freddy roach and **** bob arum.
Good post. Serious one this time. You should do it more often. I agree, it's silly to care about tuneups, but I think the lightweight division is getting reamed over Marquez/Pacquiao. It's freezing up the actual championship for a tuneup and its champion going to welterweight. The best fights out there to me at lightweight are Marquez VS Guerrero/Bam Bam/Soto and two of those probably weren't going to happen anyway. Sucks. I don't blame Marquez for a tuneup and not jeopardizing a massive payday, but it's bad for the lightweight division, which has really heated up now that Katsidis is finally looking out of the picture, Juan Diaz has retired and Rios and Guerrero made their big arrival.
Wait till you hear the die hard fans of Marquez and say this Bum is a Hall of Famer or somethin':nut Kidding aside I don't blame Marquez. He just wants to tune up fight right?! Why fight somebody who could jeopardize your fight with Pacquio?!:yep
Some of you here must know that Boxrec has incomplete records of alot of fighters. .....especially those records from Latin American countries...... If you were to look up the records of Roberto Duran and Alexis Arguello, you'd think they were fighting a bunch of bums with losing records or fighters making there pro debut....... .....but the reality is that Boxrec may post a record of a fighter as being 2-7, whose actual record may be 37-11........ Boxrec only post what they have on record.....and for most fighters, those records are incomplete.
