I think it's unfair to call Ortiz limited.

In his own right, he's a very good fighter with decent skills. He's amongst the best when compared to guys of similar quality - Khan, Alexander, Bradley, Maidana, Kotelnik, etc.

But it's only when he's stood next to guys like Pac and Floyd, where he can be regarded as limited. He really doesn't belong with them, just yet.

Are you seriously telling me Ortiz would beat a Cotto or a Margarito? Hell, even Clottey???

Yea he's definitely limited. He's in a great place physically but he doesn't have the skills needed. Constant pressure ala Hatton should help him stay in the fight but if he keeps the same defense he'll wind up eating lead rights the entire fight just like ol Ricky. He's a little taller than Floyd but his reach isn't as good. But who knows. Maybe Floyd's inactivity will finally catch up to him.

Nah, then people would hate on Floyd and they would label Cotto "Manny's Leftovers". Floyd wouldn't of got much respect for that fight.

    Quit like a *****...

    Come on, man...

Some of these mother ****ers who sit on the outside of the ring calling the people INSIDE THE RING cowards and *****'s just **** me off.

Nevertheless, he did quit but in the eyes of many he has redeemed himself and proven his heart by getting up against Berto. Whether Berto was overrated or not, Ortiz still got up and fought on.

So why didn't he? I mean you can save the "on the sly" sarcastic bull****, by all means explain to me if it's such easy work why he didn't fight one of them as opposed to fighting one guy who had been beaten into a shell of his former self and a non factor in the division (SSM) and JMM who is clearly past his prime and fights two weight classes down from Manny?

All fighters have a limit or "their Limits"....even guys like PAC and Floyd. Ortiz is limited based on his style and skills but he makes up for it in other areas. He's fast, powerful and strong. He's shown heart and determination...the ablility to overcome adversity...we've also seen him crumble during adversity. So there's a lot of unanswered questions about oritiz going into his fight with Floyd which is a once in a lifetime opportunity for the kid...so he should have taken it...but the outcome is already set in stone in my opinion. Ortiz doesn't have a chance,
