Each landed 40 percent of total punches thrown and that is with the corrupt SHO numbers. Who landed the harder shots ? What so hard to believe about 115-113 ?

I don't like Carl much, and his GF even less.

I'm a fan of the road warrior and I hoped he would stop or decision Froch.

    Now as twhat actually happened.

I was optimistic after the first round which Johnson won, I thought, clearly.

But after that he only won two more.

    My final score: 117-111 Froch

Anything closer than 116-112, and you should switch to showjumping or darts.

Johnson is one of my sentimental favorites for some time and I've only recently warmed up to Froch. It was quite clear to me that Froch pulled away in the second half and got the better of the rounds and the fight. I cannot see how a Johnson victory would be fair. Competitive but clear for Froch.

Yeah 40% is probably accurate, but Froch threw mote shots than Johnson, so his 40% equates to more shots landed.

I really like Glen as a boxer and as a person, but there is no way he won. Glen has bemoaned many a decision in the past, and rightfully so, but you didn't hear any complaining after this fight. If the guy who lost knows he lost, then i really don't know why fans on this site question the victory.

    :huh

Well, yes pitty pat. Froch threw mostly arm punches, it is not proper technique. I do not like that style.

Johnson has the superior technique, he delivers his power shots form his shoulders correctly, with the full weight, correct balance, full extension.

You need to take a closer look on what lands. If you throw 3 pitty pat combinations and if only 3 shots land, to me that is less convoncing than one hard right hand properly delivered.

I do not care a lot of journalists have never been in the ring. They know very little about tecnique and hard shots. They got blended by the flashy combinations, yet ignored that they were inaccurate and arm punches.

Fair enough, but you need to respect that the scoring criteria the judges works after is different from your preference. And Johnson did not land all that frequently. He landed every now and then. I cant see how what can make up for Froch constantly landing combos.

I love both guys but there is no ****in way in hell you can give this fight to johnson. the dirrell fight is one thing, but giving this fight to johnson is just reaching.

Agreed, scording is subjective and therefore I can understand your criteria in favour of a Froch scoring.

However, I disagree that Froch actually landed a lot of these combos, alot of punches were blocked by Johnson. I also think the judges got this wrong and therefore came up with very wide scores for Froch.

The only way to remove this subjectivity related to scoring rounds and fights would be a return to the old days of keep fighting until a knock out. I'm sure nobody in their right mind would support such a suggestion. However, I think if you selected any three, reasonably minded judges, to score Froch vs Johnson they would select the Cobra as winner by at least three rounds.
