i heard many claiming him to be an overrated prospect havent seen much of him, but hes fighting litzau. i thought litzau would get his jaw smashed against Caballero but he proved me wrong does broner beat litzau?
Not very good. I would like to see Linares fight him. They are both GBP so its definitely doable. I think Linares would beat him.
he fights like he is trying to do the splits and sounds like he is practicing for the impressions tribute band. not much punch power, but throws a lot of punches. he doesn't commit to the punches but he does at least put his hands out there. he seems to shake his shoulders and leaves his hands straight to capitalise. got lucky with deleon...VERY lucky and got lucky with the quintero win where he was continually painted with right hands over his low left. was surprised how much he has improved since i last saw him, when he fought kickett, kickett was coming in as a mundine jnr type prospect who was chinned before but it didn't seem like broner had the whack to put him away. but his left hook down the pipe was spectacular. he imprves a lot though which is what i give him credit for.
How do you know he has it if he hasn't shown it? I never get that comment and it's typically about certain assumed slick boxers: He's really good and has alot of natural ability.... but, he doesn't know how to use it and I know this because I haven't seen him do it but it's probably there. What is so clear about this "great" natural ability that he doesn't know how to use? What about Broner leads you to think that this obviously clear, great natural ability is there despite the fact you haven't seen it from him?
Honestly, he is absolutely god awful. He is not even a poor man's Mayweather. He's a poor man's Devon Alexander.
Good description. Still very unproven as a lot of us scored his last fight for Ponce. I think his bout with Litzau could turn into a rough scrap.
he is pretty talented. just cocky. de leon was a tough fight for him but he has time to learn. he just needs to be humbled and work hard
he wil have a good future. just needs to stay focused. cockiness wont get you far if you cant deliver
This. He's talented, and is obviously athletically gifted, but he's far too tentative in the ring and doesn't really have a structure to his movement. I thought Ponce De Leon beat him 6 rounds to 4, he just couldn't deal with the agression early on, and only really won because of size and speed, and against a guy who is much smaller and slower, it doesn't really sell Broner's ability well. He reminds me a bit of a more hesitant Devon Alexander, except with a better rythm (although he takes longer to get into it). Talented for sure, but doesn't seem to be able to focus his ability well at all. If he comes in with a gameplan against Litzau, and uses his attributes to their best ability, he can beat Jason. Although Litzau looked posessed against Caballero, really aggresive and the best he's ever been IMO. Broner needs to take this seriously or else he's getting battered. Remember Litzau is a big Featherweight, Ponce who is a small one gave Broner hell.
