Ola Afolabi On Getting Hit By Wladimir: "I Thought I Was Having a Stroke"

"You can see his hands in front of you and think you can block the punches. No way. That jab is something else. It is going to destroy Haye,” Afolabi told independent.co.uk.

“A couple of weeks ago, Wladimir hit me with a right hand – I had a headache for four days. I thought I was having a stroke. This guy is awesome. He'll have too much muscle for Haye.”

 

I wonder if he got paid for that statement.

I like Ola, i speak to him of facebook, but hes always been friendly with the klits, hes in the klit camp, hes hardly gonna say he sparred like **** is he.

If I give someone my right hand they'll have a headache for days too. Delivering the punch is what's hard. I gather Haye is a better athlete and boxer than Afolabi, and therefore should make it harder for Wlad to connect.

 

Reports from Klitschko's training camp always sound like his from Mars or something. I remember one story where a visitor described a sparring between Wlad and yound Sam Peter. It sounded like total humiliation where Wlad hit like he wanted even on the inside and beaten everybody up like clueless children. But for some reason the real fight went in a different way. No inside fight, no uppercut, no domination. But shown a lot of weaknesses.
To sum it up: I don't believe that hype from bums who take right hands all day long. When the real fight starts, everything will be different.

 

wlad has very much power his safety first style ruins it though.
You saw when he fought chambers and peter that when he went for the kill he finished it brutally.

 

Ola's spot on. That guy has an excellent beard. His been a sparring partner in the Klite camp for years. Soon as Haye tastes the breeze from Vladimir's whistling jab its good night and god bless.

 

Not sure about the beard, its good but also keep in mind James Toney floored his as years back sparring.
Ola is just doing his job as an employee of the klitschkos you dont expect him to say that Wlad hits like a ***** do you?
