Fat Toney? Could he conceivably beat Tunney? The fatman would lose a decision to Greb without much doubt in my mind. Toney had decent power at MW but he was never going to have a chance at KOing the iron chinned Greb, and do you really seem him getting a decision? He is a lazy fat slob who can't stop eating hamburgers. Talent only takes you so far.

Q, your argument itself lacks the evidence that you are implying does not exist for Greb's greatness. Boxing has had great eras but back in that time these men ducked noone and fought consistently. RJJ's career, for example, could easily be argued as flawed for the lack of great fighters. Greb did more in 1919 than arguably RJJ's career.

Please be objective, your ignorance brings the flavor of this forum to that of General, which I left for that very reason.

There are very few fighters I'd rate so highly without film .... however, there is a lot of film of the men fought and defeated, there is a ton of newspaper coverage and there is even more accounts about the man from the men who fought him along with his record to place Greb at the very top ... for the record, no one ever said he was a destroyer, just a great fighter ...
