Ortiz impressed me tonight, he has finally arrived...............Ortega is a sick referee, he should be ashamed of himself................

 

He starts off very quick and is snappy for the first three rounds, then gradually declines.

 

I considered himself one of the best 4 round fighters on the planet, just so explosive early. But he did very well in the other 8. The kid is very talented, it just took time to pull his stuff together. Still some work to do, but as you said, he's ****ing explosive early.

 

He has some serious hard punches and he's explosive. His chin is fine, he just needs to see and avoid those big bombs that he has a habit of getting in front of.

 

As strong as his punches are, his finishing abilities arent up to scratch. He had Berto hurt most of the fight, but he just didnt have that final snap to take him out

I'm just glad he isn't fighting Spaddy as I was almost sure he was going to.

 

This fight should answer the questions once and for all about whether Floyd gives away early rounds or not.
