Chaves Jr. Zbik - Chavez not gonna keep that belt for long Guzman Barrios - Guzman was too much for him Showtime Pac Mosley last episode - Shane wanting to quit because of a blister smfh. Interesting seeing Naz gameplan
Yeah after he just dropped Pac too. Apologizing to the crowd. Seeing Naz say don't smile Shane fight time now but he kept smiling then at the post fight interview saying I will enjoy my holiday. Looked a lot like he was taking the paycheck. Rarely have we seen a fighter at his level scared to fight another round hes lucky it was Pac he was facing.
:finger5 You've watched him what, twice? He's one of the greatest super-flyweights of all time, which is morethan enough reason to watch him.
Paul Smith vs. Cello Renda I had Renda up by two points going into the 6th round. He just kept tagging Smith throughout and Smith didn't seem comfortable boxing on the outside as McGirt instructed him to. He caught Renda with a combination early in the 6th round which hurt him, but it took Smith another 90 seconds to get the job done (before the ref stepped in, a bit prematurely IMO). If Renda had survived, he would have had a great chance to get the victory as Smith looked tired after the work he put in, in that 6th round.
Joshua Clottey-Antonio Margarito. Good entertaining fight and Clottey gave a really good account of himself. Margarito's workrate is what gave him the edge I think. I actually gave Clottey the first four rounds, but he hurt his hand in the fifth round, and it was a different story from then on. Clottey does his best work with his left hand, throwing good left hooks to the head and body, so its really bad luuck that he injured it. You could tell the injured hand played a big part in the outcome of the fight, as Clottey did absolutely nothing in that round> In fairness to Joshua he sucked it up and did some good work later on with the left, but it was few and far between in comparison to Margaritos workrate. The hand seemed to get worse in the 9th round, when Margaito pinned Joshua on the ropes and gave him a pounding. Clottey said to his corner that the broke his finger after that round. So overall a good fight, but im almost completly sure that Clottey would have won it if not for his injured left hand. As it stood I had it a bit closer than the judges had it, and I gave it to Margarito 115-113, based on workrate.
