yes, it was done on purpose because the shelka win shows that joe is a top 10 atg. your last sentence is priceless. in 44 fights at 168, joe only fought 7 guys ranked in the top 10 at the time but according to you that's everyone.

Every time I watch that video, I am blown away. The zero will continue to fool people as it has been doing for years, but this video clearly shows a guy with no technique windmilling a procession of utter bums. The camera never lies.

titles don't mean anything as far as being an all-time great. chavez jr. just won a belt vs someone who i'd never seen fight before. should he be considered a great now? undefeated records don't mean anything if you don't fight anybody, see kessler and lacy. i can't believe you tried to support your argument by listing veit, bika and sheika. sam langford must be turning in his grave. it must be hard to accept these facts. joe is the most accomplished at 168, a weight class that has only been around since '84 and where only fighters like joe, ottke, benn, and collins made their careers. i'm not sure he even beats a prime benn or collins h2h.

    I disagree with Benn.

I think Hagler, Hearns, SRL and Benn all KTFO Calzaghe.

Calzaghe's come forward style and relying mainly on outworking (not outboxing) his opponent will be what Hagler wants. Hearns had solid power at 168, SRL was alot slower but could have still outboxed Joe.

Benn wouldnt have been hurt by Calzaghe.

desperation?? :rofl i've already proved my points. see my original post. we'll see in 20 yrs how joe is looked at. he's already going to be replaced by ward as the most accomplished super middle ever. that took a whole 3 yrs after joe's retirement.

ottke, liles and collins (who was looking to come out of retirement) all early in joe's "title reign". later on johnson, reid rematch, woods, and he should of moved up to 175 earlier if he was looking for better competition. a jones fight would have been out of the question. joe's admitted that he couldn't defeat jones from that time.

this is the stupidest post i've ever seen. listing all the opponents losses at the end of their careers but not at the time bhop fought them. it's bad hopkins fought a guy with only 4 fights in his 5th pro fight? bhop gets crap for his wins vs tito and dlh because they were in their primes at a lower weight class. we can say the same about joe, bhop and jones were former middleweight champs where as joe fought at 168. forget that bhop was coming off 2 losses to taylor 3yrs earlier and jones was ko'ed by tarver and johnson 4 yrs earlier.

    Its 17 you knob :patsch

    Also formally Popkins

As you may know Ottke wouldnt fight Calzaghe, Ottkes trainer openly said this.
Liles :patsch, Calzaghe KOd Mitchell who KOd Liles.
Collins retired when Calzaghe was due to fight him, when Collins said he was coming back, he clapsed in training so never came back.
Johnson, look at his legendary SMW resume
Johnson has lost at SMW to -

M Sosa who had 5 losses and 2 draws, and lost his next 2 fights after beating Johnson
Kiwanuka who had 3 losses and 2 draws, had lost his last 2 fights coming into his fight with Johnson and his fight after Johnson
Ottke 16-0 who in fairness was an outstanding SMW boxer
Vanderpool 27-1 who lost his next fight, but in fairness that was at MW to Hopkins and Vanderpool had a good run after
Branco 38-4-2 who was a world class SMW and became WBA LHW champ
Sheika who was 19-1 and lost his next fight, though in fairness that was to Calzaghe.

The SMWs that Johnson has managed to beat
Campas 3-20-4 coming off of only 2 losses and won his next fight
Watson 24-16-1, Johnson was his last fight
Renteria 9-23-5 coming in, whos last 10 fight record before facing Johnson was 0-8-2
Zimmerman 15-2-0 coming in, who had lost his previous fight and the one after

Reid lost to Branco and never was the same after Calzaghe beat him. Reid help tleaving ****** didnt that cause

Woods - Calzaghe beat Starie who beat Woods. Calzaghe had a choice to fight undefeated bookies favourite Lacy or Woods. Work it out for yourself. Lacy was the bigger name fighter and considered the bigger threat

Heres just a bit for you to look over

So if you work out how many fighters were top 10 rated and how many became top 10 rated after Calzaghe beat them he fought 22 SMW title fights and 15 were or became top 10 rated. I havent included Ferreyra who had been top 10 rated before fighting Calzaghe

15 out of 22 at SMW, Thats very good :smooch but even better when you note Calzaghes LHW career, because as a career total it becomes

god bailey, how much time to you waste trying to defend this? joe only fought 7 guys who were ranked in the ring top 10 at the time he fought them. sure, some of them got ranked after. that's not surprising is such a weak division. your fighter who beat the guy who joe beat argument gets old and boxing doesn't work like that. styles make fights. joe really faced no southpaws in his career except for the novice sobot. that was a good reason to stay away from liles.
