Actually Mayweathers request is part of the NSACs rules he has the right to request additional testing, Just as fighters higher than 135 have the right to choose 8 ounce gloves if they prefer those gloves.

No this rule was put in place in 2006 after Levander Johnson passed away, what your refering to here, is the commissions ruling on the Margarito vs Cotto fight in which both fighters wanted to use 8 ounce gloves....

has nothing to do with changing the rule or over turning it, 10 ounce is required 8 can be requested. I think Nevada needs to start stickign to their own rules here.... you dont make a ****ing rule then change that rule when it suits you best.

for a *****, Pacquiao fighting with 10oz gloves for the first time in his entire career would not be an advantage for Floyd, it would be "fair"

Bob Arum convinced the commission to allow Cotto-Margarito to be done with 8 oz gloves, that's when they made an exception to where you can use 8 as an option up to welterweight. The option is what's in their rules, you aren't violating them if an option exists.

According to this all licensed fighters are subjected to random testing through out the year as well, doesnt seem like they have been doing much of that..

agreeing to 8oz gloves is also following the rules of the commission, and prevents either fighter from having a huge disadvantage such as fighting with 10oz gloves for the first time in his entire career.

I think Nevada was the only or one of the only places making welterweights where those big ass gloves.. They were losing big fights because of it.. Guys who were use to 8 oz gloves were willing to fight in other places...

Rules change every day, as long as they have reasoning and research to back it uP why not... This was done more for P.R. than to help save lives... After all aren't you saying they need better testing???

yet they did follow the rules when both fighters agreed. and why would you want a puncher to wear a pillow when he fights floyd when even floyd wear 80z in his fight with jmm. did floyd break the rule as well when he uses it against jmm?
