I think that regarding the glove issue in question, Mayweather should only have to abide by NSAC rules, right *******s? Negotiating something outside the rules is wrong isn't it? Why is Manny trying to change the rules of boxing? Who died and made Manny king? The NSAC says 10 oz are good enough. Why isn't that good enough for Manny?

The current application of NAC 467.427(5) is that boxers weighing-in at 147 pounds and under, use 8 oz. gloves, while boxer over 147 pounds, use 10 oz. gloves.
Recommendation: Given the fact that the committee did not have any scientific proof as to the advantage of one glove size over another, the committee recommends that the Commission look at conducting a scientific study on glove size and whether the size of gloves used makes a difference. The committee recommends that they conduct an equal study on all weight classifications but would point out that there have been a greater number of problems in the 135 to 147 weight range, so that weight range of fighters might be worthy of some additional focus.

Interesting that you bring that up because indeed the NSAC went on record stating they would not intervene and was all right with them if fighters agreed to additional tests.
.......no different than the commision stating its allright for fighters of specific weight classes to wear 8oz gloves if both agreed to it.

.....yet after the Pac team made asses of themselves with excuse after excuse for why Pacquiao could not submit to additional tests, Roach has the audacity to then say, "we'll only submit to what the commision requests."


If indeed submitting to what the commision requests is a Roach priority, Pacquiao should be fighting using 10oz gloves, as thats what the commision recommends fighters above lightweight use.
