Pac is ahead of Floyd in total PPV buys. Yeah, Floyd may have more if he chose to fight more, just like he'd have more wins against Cotto, Margarito, Williams.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda. That's Floyd for you.

    Did. That's Pac for you.

the catchweights have diminished Pacman. Fighting guys at the weight they hold the title is what really makes a real multi division champion.

Can't outdo the previous PPV record. Eats Floyd's leftovers coming off sub par performances. LIkes his own food to be played with by someone else before eating. That's emmanuel for me.

Thank a younger De La Hoya for those numbers. What was Floyd's previous record? :hi:

No disrespect to Tyson but he will be remembered for all the wrong stuff.

Pac will be remembered for the goodness he brings.

    17. Ricardo Mayorga (5/06) 935,000 buys = $46.3 million
    18. Floyd Mayweather Jr. (5/07) 2.4 million buys = $120.0 million
    19. manny pacquiao (12/08) 1.25 million buys = $70.0 million

It isn't all Oscar. Look at how GREATER the totals is for 18 compared to 17 and 19.

Since ODLH FLoyd has dropped off 1 million buys or more in every fight.
The interest for him peaked in 2007 and he needs Manny to come close to those numbers.

Even when fighting Shane off his best win a known fighter from the USA he fell short by 1 million buys from the ODLH fight.

I don't call Oscar the biggest star in boxing history for no reason.

Of course it isn't all Oscar, but the majority of it was, and that fight made Floyd a PPV attraction, as it did Pac.

Floyd's previous PPV high was 375,000. Pac's previous high before DLH was 400,000. So the Oscar effect is evident, even if it was Oscar's last fight against Pac before reiring.

You take away the De La Hoya fights, Floyd and Pac's average PPV buys arent that significantly different.

    Floyd: 733,333

    Pac: 604,167
