That's because he has a jab that is very good. I never said it wasn't, it is very good, but it's not among the very, very best. In my opinion, at least.

Once again, thanks for your insight.

You should spread it to a larger audience: http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=6

Only way to find out if the jab of Sturm is that good is to ask Sato.

Wlad's
USS'
Ward's
Dzinziruk's
Cotto's(when he wants to be imposing with it)
John's
Rigo's
Donaire's
Moreno's
Mijares'
Narvaez's
Arguably Rojas'

All superceed Sturm's IMO. Felix's, while good, is one dimensional. Some of the fighters listed have one-dimensional jabs too, but they're better than Sturm's.

Exactly. Sato took his jab away with ease. I don't think Macklin has the ability to pull off that sort of unorthodox head movement though.

Dzinziruk's despite being out-jabbed by Maravilla? :think

10. Sorry but i refuse to make a detailed post why he loses, as Macklin does not deserve that much respect, he is a joke of a Boxer and very very poor. It is much easier to be blunt on matters like this, Boxers i respect i will give a wider opinion on.

Yep, it's a cliche, but styles make fights. Martinez had the style that ensured Razor would have hell trying to land his jab due to his mobility. For instance, Mijares looked inept against Vic, but that was only because of the nightmarish style match-up, as opposed to his jab being less of a weapon. And I don't think you can argue that Sturm's jab is superior to Diamante's.
