I'm rooting for whichever Edwards just walked out to "You Can Call Me Al". That tune has always made me smile.

Suppose it was Paul, entering as the British flyweight champ.

 

Round 1

PE floats around CE trying to push a jab into his stomach and chop him back with an overhand right while on the move. CE is coming in like a buzzsaw and roughing PE up a little bit, lifting and turning him a bit by getting a hold of his base. Nice crisp right hands by PE catch CE coming in, trying to prevent the ugly battle on the inside. Nice left hooks and rights now by PE, countering the rushes well. CE is windmilling his way in trying to get past those accurate power punches but getting staked into place by them and shoved back from attempts to grab.

Round 2

PE is jabbing in step, landing beautifully as he moves out of range and lets CE hop right into the danger zone. PE turning him and popping him in the face with jabs and rights. CE hops in and tries to wrestle. Slapping overhand right on the inside by CE, his best landed so far. PE pushes his way off and into his circling route with his jab and then lands a nice straight right. CE bends down and snaps up repeatedly, wasting energy on his way in. Good right hand drill to the body by PE. CE flaps down on him with wide overhands, trying to brawl with him. PE lands a good short right hand counter but misses on a telegraphed left hook counter as CE ducks into him.

It is the main event, after this current twelve rounder.

 

Round 3

CE actually jabbing his way in now, but still selling out and diving into waist-grabs when PE eludes him by skirting out to the ropes. PE throwing fewer counters now but still accurate with the right hand. Nice cracking right hammer to the temple by PE. More springing up and down on the approach by CE. A few slapping forearm shots from Chris Edwards, flurrying slowly but keeping the pressure consistent. PE is moving well and tucking tight to defend.

30-27 but closer there.

 

Round 4

PE cracking him with both the right hand and the left hook off the back foot. CE is jumping along after him, slapping his forearms out (not really punching with any lower body force, everything is past the elbow) but not getting close. Beautiful movement and countering by PE, maybe his best round yet. Not jabbing much but not needing to.
