    Round 10

PE is landing some of those cracking right hands and step-through uppercuts again, desperation spurring him on as CE continues to bear down on him landing double jabs from outside and uppercutting body shots on the inside. PE is flurrying hard and taking steps around rather than away from CE. PE looking to stay in and keep punching, matching the work rate of CE but taking some shots in return. Good stuff.

    Round 11

CE slaps down at him with gong sticks. PE backs away, dodging a lot but getting pecked with jabs as CE adjusts to straighten those lefts up on his face and getting thumped up close from the throat to the hairline. PE is trading with him as he is pushed repeatedly and involuntarily to the ropes and is getting some good shots in but getting massively outworked and bossed around. CE is just willingly eating jabs to land uppercuts to the body and upper back. PE tries another step-through uppercut but hits elbow as CE's arms are a blur of activity.

    10-9 Chris

    106-103 Paul

That was weird, just stopped bent off and paused for a few seconds.

Good fight, both scraping, lotta leather being thrown. Good finish.

    Round 12

Chris is all over him, smacking leather against Paul's face nonstop. Paul just pumps his arms trying to answer back but is getting completely owned. Paul bends over and puffs, with Chris not taking advantage. It looked like Paul might tumble forward, but he was just resting his elbows on his knees and catching his breath. :blood Protect yourself at all time!!! Also a mystery why Chris didn't bother hitting him. Paul now comes forward, but is still very sloppy and weak of arm. Chris is now in the "counter puncher" role with his slapping hooks landing regularly as he is backed to the ropes.

    115-113 Paul Edwards

Eh, it's hard for me to swallow that. It was close and all (obviously, my scorecard being as close as it can be short of a draw without any knockdowns or point deductions) but I can't see how Chris Edwards could be rewarded with any more rounds than I gave him.

Paul swept the first six. Swept them, no ifs ands or buts. He also pretty clearly won the 10th. Likewise, Chris clearly won the stretch from 7 to 9 as well as the championship rounds...but I can't even see justifying a draw for him, let alone winning.

He lost six rounds clearly, arguably seven.

So, close but clear win for Paul is what the result ought to have been.
