I won't spoil it but...the chick fight is genuinely very good

 

Round 3

Gonzalez is now boxing a bit more on the outside, using his jab and evading Gutierrez. Decent footwork, nothing fancy...just dictating the pace and keeping Gutierrez turning and chasing (and lunging). Gonzalez landing mostly just his jab this round but definitely winning with it. Gutierrez is hurling power shots from outside as he springs back and forth shifting his weight from lead to rear foot.

Oh no doubt? Yea, boxrec has her 2nd. Not too bad, but I think I'd like to go a couple of rounds with her...outside the ring. wink wink.

 

Round 4

Gonzalez pops his jab and moves. Gonzalez is just barely skipping out of the way of Gutierrez's attacks but doesn't look too worried about how close some of these shaves are. Gutierrez is hooking with his right hand to open up now, twisting himself in toward Gonzalez and as a result leading with his forearm and head. Gonzalez responds to the roughness by standing pat and trading with him...again landing in greater quantity and with harder stuff.

Gonzalez seriously looks like that bald psycho dude from "Full Metal Jacket" movie

 

Round 5

Gonzalez circles right, well outside. Gutierrez comes forward uppercutting hard with a little bolt action in his knees. Gonzalez presses against him, using his strength to lean Gutierrez into the ropes where the latter continues trying to uppercut. Gonzalez patiently picks his punches and lands a few up top as well as his own hard uppercut to the body. Gutierrez frantically works his fists but can't outperform the younger man despite a pretty tepid work rate and not much hand speed from Gonzalez.

Round 6

Gutierrez is somewhat hurt again, as Gonzalez walks him into the ropes with solid pendulum bombs for the first minute. Gutierrez is just taking flush shots and trying to counter with his own hooks until the punishment becomes too much and he has to raise his elbows. Gonzalez just punches around them. Gutierrez down (low blow). He milks it a little. They resume the round and Gonzalez picks up where he left off, pounding Gutierrez against the ropes with hard hooks and uppercuts. Gutierrez is getting ripped to the body that make him reflexively cringe almost in half, and having his braids flipped up in the air by head shots. Straight volleys into the guard by Gutierrez, unable to overpower Gonzalez and get by his defense.

Round 7

Gutierrez jabs into the face of Gonzalez, landing and getting cocky. Hands down, and Gonzalez sends several ounces of sweat flying out of his braids with a hard left hook to the face while arching his lead leg inside. Gutierrez circles cautiously. Nice lead right hand over the top by Gutierrez. GONZALEZ lands another monstrous hook to the face and Gutierrez nearly face-plants but manages to stay up. Gonzalez swings some pendulums down low, missing with the right but landing the left hard against the upper thigh/belt-line of Gutierrez. Gonzalez again leans on him and flips up miniature uppercuts. Gutierrez tries to load up on another overhand right while backing up but can't get any leverage or aim and is getting pounded with left hooks to the body. Gutierrez is landing jabs in the exchanges but Gonzalez ignores them. Clinch. A couple of short uppercuts by Gutierrez as they're pressed together. Gonzalez presses in behind his high guard, pushing Gutierrez again to the ropes.

Round 8

Hard jabs to the body by Gutierrez, missing as he nosedives in and leaves his head slowly hovering just in front of Gonzalez. Hard hooks emerge and land out of the high guard, few and far between as Gonzalez focuses on toe-to-toe defense. Gutierrez is selling out with hard rattlings into the guard. They paw at each other's faces with jabs as Gutierrez rests with his back to the ropes. Uppercut by Gonzalez. Hook. Double jab, right hand. Gutierrez is just softly tapping Gonzalez on the nose with his jab and a couple of equally limp rights.

Round 9

Gutierrez again opens with his free-falling jab. Again, it doesn't bring him much success. Long clinch, and they jerk each other around by the ropes until a break is called. Diligent body work by Gonzalez. Gutierrez is pushed to the ropes, and tries to uppercut off of them but has his arms pinned up too high and is unable to get any torque. Gonzalez just screwdrivers his head in between the wrists of Gutierrez, using that giant dome of his as a mortar on the pestle of Gutierrez' Adam's apple. Lots of hard body shots by Gonzalez. Gutierrez is backed all the way across the ring, and then in a circle around it. Hooks to the face. Again Gutierrez on the ropes. Gonzalez tilts his head away and puts his left arm out to deflect as Gutierrez throws a big 1-2 during a brief moment's respite when they separate. Left hook to the neck and looping right to the body by Gutierrez, but Gonzalez outworking him by far and landing those hard body shots.
