A good round. Narvaez gets the better of Urina. Better fight than expected so far. 2-1 Narvaez.

3-0 Narvaez is getting tagged though out working and outlanding Urina...looks like Urina may have a huge power advantage though

    Round 4

Narvaez jabs, but Urina jabs right back at him. They start to come together and both take jabs to the face, and so back out. Narvaez is the more eager to close back in, inching his feet forward while barely lifting them up, and ignoring Urina's jab in order to shuffle in and land his big overhand left. Urina tries to fake Narvaez out with a lazy jab which he then converts into a quick right hook around the guard, but it gets caught on the back of the wrist. Narvaez is having to block a lot more now, as simply slipping punches isn't working as well for him anymore. Urina is throwing a lot. Now Narvaez comes on with hard right hooks to the body. Again, doubling them nicely. Urina jabs hard from mid-range. Now a 1-2. Narvaez bashes him back with an overhand left. Now some more right hooks to the body while inching forward. Overhand left across the back as Urina leans forward a bit. Urina has himself scrunched up tightly, sacrificing his height to be able to snap his jab straight out into OAN's face.

    40-36

Narvaez round, but Urina is definitely getting his shots in. Not an easy fight for Narvaez. 3-1 Narvaez.

Also, ref might take a point away from Urina as he has been warned a couple of times now for low blows.

I gave the 4th to Urina, good fight and the Colombian does seem to be landing more than I expected

    Round 5

Narvaez jabs, but can't connect. Urina is moving his head and popping his own jab, and is able to swerve clear of a right hook as well. Narvaez is stumbling a bit as he circles in close and throws his power shots. He keeps hammering away and finds his legs, and starts to dig in with those right hooks to the body. Some nice daredevil lean-aways by Narvaez, still slipping with some pretty moves. Urina is catching him, though. Double jab by Urina. He's landing and leaning into Narvaez. Nice work by Urina pushing the champ back with jabs and lefts.

    10-9 Urina

    49-46 Narvaez

Damn, Narvaez and his matrix style of defensive to get out of the way at the end of the round.

I give that to Urina though, he seemed to land a bit more in that round. Narvaez slowed down a bit. 3-2 Narvaez.

I went the other way for round, Narvaez seemed to move more and didn't foolishly stand up close with Urina, the defense was a step ahead. IMO

    Round 6

Urina jabs and shimmies to the right. Now Narvaez circles quickly around him and they change to counter clockwise. Urina leading, and landing right hooks to the body as he gets Narvaez covering up to recoil from the jab. Urina lands one of those long jabs nicely from outside. Narvaez again steps outside and takes a quick stroll wide around Urina. Narvaez really not looking to engage here. Urina rushes in and throws several hard straight shots at him, forcing Narvaez to shell up. Hard jab by Urina. Narvaez blocks and tries to get his jab going. Now the right hook comes out of his pocket. Narvaez circling out wide, until Urina beelines toward him and tries to pin him to the ropes with hard uppercuts. Lots of punches flying, Urina's a good deal straighter and with that long wiry snap to them.

    10-9 Urina

    58-56 Narvaez

And in round 6 the ref takes a point away. Tough break I think this was a pretty clear round for Urina. 9-9 round.

    Round 7

Narvaez jabs and quickly circles out. Urina jabs, hitting the guard. Narvaez is effectively blocking everything now and landing quick but hard right hooks before quickly reassembling his guard. Urina tries a left uppercut, but gets smothered by Narvaez pouring on. Activity increasing from Narvaez, lots of his trademark curveball power shots. Urina defends as best he can against the awkward aggression and tries to assert his jab. Urina leans in with Narvaez and loses the infighting battle decisively. Narvaez lands a left to the chin, a pair of hooks and a farewell jab all while Urina is trying to line him up for a single straight left.

    10-9 Narvaez

There we go Narvaez wins big in round 7. This is the Urina I know throwing wide and acting crude, and this is the Narvaez I know, countering sharply and making Urina miss.

    Round 8

Urina jabs hard, trying to touch the head of Narvaez but finding that it does a nice impression of the white bouncing sing-along ball. Narvaez lands some nice right hooks to the body. Ooh, Urina catches him with a 1-2 through the gloves. Now Urina opens up!! Narvaez weathers the storm and then lands his own hard combo, windmilling a bit. Urina now gets caught with his chin hanging up on the heights unprotected. Narvaez putting together some brilliant combos on the inside, putting jabs in between hooks and overhands to the face and flanks. Narvaez now steps out to circle and potshot with the jab, showing his versatility.

    10-9 Narvaez

Thanks for the thread, IB. Narvaez sounds good for the most part.
