Luis Del Valle vs. Dat Nguyen & Jonathan Gonzalez vs. Richard Gutierrez RBR

The body shots from Delk Valle have taken their toll.

 

I was expecting to see the old Dallas LB Nguyen.

70-63 Del Valle. Dat is done. Buddy should ask his guy if he wants to continue.

 

I haven't seen many McGirt cornered fights where something like this wasn't said.

When was the last time a McGirt fighter won a significant fight?

 

Round 7

Nguyen again on the ropes. Del Valle pushes into him with his bony forearms and cracks him with a right hand. Nguyen is punching back and catches Del Valle but doesn't have an effect. Nguyen waves his arms, inviting Del Valle in and showing some bravado. Del Valle just continues to beat the tar out of him with left hooks to the body and right hand chops to the face. A couple of spirited exchanges, with Dat Nguyen still throwing hard shots but missing almost all of them.

I want to see both these fighters again, but against different class opponents:

Del Valle taking a slight step up and Nguyen taking a slight step down.

 

I don't even like watching this fight. Dat is getting whooped. The fight should be stopped.

 

I don't know why the ref is not stopping this. Dat is going to be pissing blood for a week.

 

Round 8

Del Valle comes forward throwing hard right hand and left hook combos as Nguyen backs away reluctantly, obviously not proud of having to give ground and occasionally letting his pride get the better of him as he plants his flag and leans in to telegraph a power punch. Del Valle is just hooking away blindly with both arms, completely unworried about counters that might come back from Nguyen as the latter's hands are too slow to even land many of those and his power makes them inconsequential when they do get through.
