Huge Narvaez round in #8, Urina probably needs a KO now

Hey, do I have this right? If he wins, this will be his twentieth world title fight victory? Have they mentioned?

Urina slowing down. Narvaez countered him for the most part in that round. 6-2-1 Narvaez....the 1 even round being the round Urina was winning, but got a point taken away.

    Round 9

Narvaez jabs and takes triple steps to his right. Urina can't locate him with his own jab, and resorts to some wild sweeping hooks with his long arms, missing badly. BIG flurry by Narvaez, throwing blindingly fast right hooks to the body in rapid succession with his left poking up top to give Urina some distraction. Narvaez throwing the jab like a Mayweather pull counter, yanking his neck and upper body in the opposite direction as he snaps it out. Narvaez circles out and hops on his toes, waiting for Urina to catch up to him. Now Narvaez spins him to the ropes and scythes him to the body. Urina jabs straight into the guard, leaning over on the outside and watching Narvaez. Wild overhand left misses for Urina.

    10-9 Narvaez

    88-83 Narvaez

    Round 10

Narvaez is landing nice jabs and right hooking off of it. Narvaez doesn't even bother getting out to the wide track, circling from a breath away. Urina tries to lob underhands at him but can't deter Narvaez, who shoeshines him nearly to the ropes. Hard left uppercut and slapping right hook upstairs by Narvaez. Now Urina throws a series of hard uppercuts leaning forward but hits all arm. Narvaez peppers him with right hooks to the body while holding him in place with his left. Narvaez lands a hard right hook to the face as Urina tries to shrimp up with his head cradled behind his raised shoulder. Narvaez pressures him, flurrying at him against the ropes. Big Narvaez round again. Jabs and hooks land from just outside.

    10-9 Narvaez

    98-92 Narvaez

Narvaez dominating now. Last 4 rounds have been clear Narvaez rounds.

    Round 11

    Delay. Mouthpiece issue (Urina).

Narvaez works the right hand now out of an orthodox stance, uppercuts and overhands. Now he squares up on Urina and pushes him to the ropes again, landing a little bit of everything. Urina throws a hard right hand. They're both right-handed boxers now. :conf Toe to toe exchanges, Narvaez getting the better. Urina throws lots of straight shots but hits arm or air as Narvaez batters him with hooks and uppercuts. Urina lands a bit better near the end of the round, taking long steps backward and flipping out his arms hard.

    10-9 Narvaez

    108-101 Narvaez

I give Urina credit for being somewhat competitive for the first 6 rounds at least. The last 5 rounds have been Narvaez beating up on him, which is how I thought the whole fight was going to go. So, props to Urina as Narvaez is beating him up on the ropes for a good minute.

    Round 12

Narvaez jabs to spark flurries, then creeps back behind his guard and lets Urina deplete himself with hard volleys to waste his turn. Narvaez ducks a right hook and gets inside to drum-roll the body. Ugliness on the inside now, a lot of flopping around and cuffing behind the head. Narvaez is still slipping a lot of punches right up close, but he's taking some forearms across the top and sides of his head. Narvaez is still landing nice right jabs and hooks to the face but with less on them now. Urina just leans in against him with his shoulder and flings his arms out as hard as he can in his tired state. The bell rings and they KEEP FIGHTING AN EXTRA TEN SECONDS, BOTH LANDING TO THE FACE!!!!

    10-9 Narvaez

118-109 Narvaez (with point deduction from Urina...which I'd missed...so deduct 1 point from Urina's half of my scorecard on rounds 7-11)

117-110 Narvaez. Round 6 point deduction, so it was a 9-9 round, otherwise I would have it 117-111 Narvaez.

    Think it's his 21st, 19 defences and 2 "gains"
