    Spot on.

This is not an issue about "race", but nationality. BEING MEXICAN. Myself, I'm fully white, when I travel people tend to think I'm Spanish, Italian or US American and it burns my ass when Mexicans approach to me in English when on the beach. Why? because I'm totally Mexican, being born and raised here, I know and I'm proud of all of my heritage, my culture, my place. I surely have both Spanish and Indigenous blood but I don't give a**** about it, I'm just Mexican.

Mexican-Americans are legally Mexicans however I'll consider them as such only when they use our flag, when they say they're from México, when they play our national anthem.

For example, Steven Luévano always came out with our flag and he was given instructions in Spanish I believe....He never came with the US American flag and for as much as he didn't have the usual Mexican style he gained all of my respect and I cheered for him as one of ours.

In the other hand you have ODLH who represented US at the Olympics or Juan Díaz who calls himself "Texan".

I can't understand how people be "Mexican-American", I mean, USA stole us half of the territory and I don't see how can someone indentify himself with Uncle Sam/Roland McDonald and Emiliano Zapata at the same time. I got no problem against USA, I enjoy travelling there, I got friends there and I'm watching NASCAR right now but nevre in the wildest of dreams I would consider myself a gringo.

    It's false.

The issue of being Mexican/Mexican-American and why Mexicans only support Mexicans is very well exemplified here (this is not the issue but you'll get the general message even if you don't speak Spanish):

Robert Guerrero, Oscar de la Hoya, Magdaleno bros, Mikey García, they're all free jolitos with a "maceta de nopales" (as the video says, google image it) in their heads.

Although i almost always back up Mexican and CHicano fighters.. I have to say im embarrased by the booing of other fighters.. Especially when the Non Mex puts up a good fight, or is a humble guy... Like i can see Mexicans Backing Margo when he fought Mosley.. But when they booed him that was bull****.. As Mosley was an LA guy and out of any non Mex.. Was kind of like an adopted one:yep.. He has always respected Mex fighters and came up with local Mexican fighters as well as fighting in front of the fans, and adapting some of the same style... Not the boxer defensive type guy that Mexicans dont always like.. .SO there was really no reason to boo him

Also embarrased how they booed a humble guy like Zbik after putting up a good close fight with Chavez Jr.. I could see if the other opponent was a big mouth or a straight out dick but those guys were classy and but up good fights... Makes me feel that people in other parts of the world, think the LA or mexican fans have no class.. Because there are alot of true Mexican /Mex Amer fans that llike all fighters.. Although i back Mexs up .. I never boo a fighter unless hes a straight ass hole or is puts up boring fights.

Some FIlipina at my neighbor's house couldn't stop about how much she hates nlggers when Pac was picking Mosley apart!

Now back to topic, It all depends on how much a mexican-american embraces his Mexican culture. EX: Margarito was born in the USA but considers himself Mexican first and has a huge following. And the majority of Mexicans will root
for Mexican/Americans, Just like a Black guy will USUALLY root for the brotha, a white guy will USUALLY root for the white guy, etc......not sure why that is even disputed, it's all normal human behavior.
