The link below is the article I wrote and as you can see the one on boxing news has been somewhat changed, apologies for suggesting you wrote it, but you got to admit its strange.

Fitzer on Robbie Long and Ukraine trip

Posted on May 22, 2011 by GreenJab
Ireland’s current super middleweight and EBA & WBF Intercontential middleweight champion Anthony Fitzgerald jets of to the Ukraine early this morning to offer his services to the current IBO World Champion Avtandil khurtsidze 24-2 (KO14).
The pride of the Northside has been summoned to Kiev to act as sparring partner to “The Tornado” as he prepares for the first defence of his IBO title against Columbian Dionisio Miranda 21-6 (KO18) on the 11th of June in the Sports Palace in Kiev.
Fitzgerald who is currently ranked number eleven in the world by the WBA believes his Eastern Block experience will leave him a little better informed of his ability to take his career to the next level.
“Going over there will actually tell me if I am ready to step up to world level or whether I am not and that’s exactly what we are looking for at the moment”.
Speaking to Greenjab.ie yesterday at his inner-city home the 25 year old Dubliner also discussed the up and coming Irish middleweight title fight between his old foe Robbie Long and the Cork based title holder Gary “Spike” O Sullivan.

Yes he can, says old foe Fitzer.

“It will be an interesting fight, if Robbie can put the pressure on I think he can beat Spike, I hope he wins the fight and I wish him all the best. As you know me and Robbie fought three times and I know how tough he is and I sparred Spike and I belive Robbie is tougher then him”.

well there is no mention of a Bernard Dunne comeback or mistakes so its not me. No ring girl or mention of the quality of Ukranian women so that rules out cronan and mush. it lacks the excitment and drama of a Bunce piece and the artistry of 'handsome' Byrne.Wellings always produces a byline and is one of the nicest guys in boxing! why would james slatter have an interest?????any other reasons to rule people out.

so is that James Slater a real person? I always thought it was just a name put to the articles on the front page here. Nobody from Co Meath trying to sabotage Dolphils star in the odds?
