The way to get around a purseoffer is to promise Kessler more money, than he get from the purseoffer.

Stieglitz is fighting for Steinforth on SAT1 in Germany. They can't bid that much, because they don't have the income as Sauerland. Sauerland gets around 2.2 mill. $ (just checked the exchange rates) pr. fightcard on ARD. I doubt that Steinforth gets even half of that. Stieglitz can't draw more than 5.000 for a fight in Germany. He is really a russian turning german.

Sauerland has a long term tv-deal with TV2 in Denmark, which blocks Steinforth from the major commercial tv-station in Denmark. There are some minor stations, but they are very weak in comparison.

It should be possible to make a deal. But of course not certain.

Bute-Kessler has to make something like 6-8 mill. $ extra compared to an ordinary fight with Bute, if it should make sense. Because that is the total amount Sauerland/Kessler will want incl tv-rights. Palle/Kessler got values for 8.2 mill. for Calzage at a different exchange rate. Now it would be 9 mill. The tv-rights in a fight 5 am in Denmark is not worth that much. Probably around 1-2 mill. $. So you need 5-6 mill. extra in Canada and US. Plus you have Bute to accept to fight at his usual purse. If he wants more, Interbox needs to make even more money. It will be very hard.

I think Kessler is asking too much. He's not undefeated anymore, has no belt and is coming from a year off. Asking 6 to 8 millions in these circumstances is not reasonable.

If they don't make a deal Kessler would lose quite a lot of money for a trinket; i am really curious to see how things will work out as i doubt Stieglitz and his team would be easy as a sunday morning on Sauerland. Please keep us posted on how negociations will evolve in this case; i am still pulling for Bute-Kessler next, in Canada, Denmark, USA doesn't matter where.

Kessler needs another tune up so get over it. Don't insinuate that he doesn't want to fight Bute because true boxing fans don't believe in that sort of rubbish.

I may be an extreme fan but at least, I know what I'm talking about when I talk about Bute. You don't. You play the guy who knows but all you say is only based on impressions, like your view of the end of Bute-Andrade fight. You liked Bute before but not after. Basically, a bad decision by a referee makes you change your opinion about a boxer. :huh

I guess there's a limit to someone patience. Maybe he shouldn't talk if he doesn't know anything on the subject and he shouldn't make assumption based on nothing, less than nothing. It's like wrongfully accusing some1 for the wrong reason when the facts leads you in the opposite direction. It's stupid and idiotic and he doesn't even tried to leard a thing or two about it so I called him like I saw him on the subject. You can not degrade someone's "public image" with no facts at all only assumption from his empty brain.

I guess I felt to the principle fight fire with fire. You make idiotic remarks I'll say your an Idiot. :D

It will be interesting to see in the next weeks how Showtime react to the situation. They are more than only the diffuser. I don't know exactly their status but are they the organizer of the supersix?
As they were begin to hype Bute-Kessler for this fall, I think they are not happy with the news; if they are not able also to organize Bute-Pavlik for this fall, Bute-Johnson will be less attractive, so less money for Showtime.
As they had the power and they promise to Kessler to face the supersix winner, they give the same opportunity to Bute in his contract, and a fight in fall was logical, but if Kessler want to take an other road, it will add an other delay in the tournament.

Think that Showtime tells to Kessler, OK, you don't want to face Bute this fall, so Bute will meet the supersix winner and after, you will fight the winner.

I do think though that Showtime's alright with Johnson vs Bute since Johnson does carry a bigger name in the States than Kessler, as far as casual fans go. I also consider the fact that he did make it close against Carl Froch and kept his appeal because of that.

Well, if he needs another tune up, maybe his promoter should tell things that simply and stop his bull****. Nobody thinks Kessler himself is ducking. Sauerland makes Mikkel look bad on this one. He came in Montreal, started to promote the fight and suddenly, interbox doesn't offer enough and Stieglitz becomes as good as Bute. Do you believe in that sort of rubbish? I don't.
