thanks I should add the Cotto vs Judah date to it. People were asking for the Hatton fight longer than the Cotto fight and Hatton had a bigger fan base at the time and still probably does.
Also Mosley had just lost to Cotto, so that wasn't about to happen.

Williams also wasn't going to bring in that big of a fanbase compared to Hatton.

Anoter thing to add is Floyd agreed to fight Hatton in June of 2007 and Williams beat Margarito in July.

Cotto was always selling out in New York, Hatton had yet to sell out more than the Ballrooms in the Casinos. Hattons fan base was soley UK based , where as Cotto had the PR's all over the US.

Cotto vs Mayweather was what 2007 should have been.

 

I'll say Cotto was the one fight that people criticize Floyd for not taking that was the most doable. he could have fought him in place of Hatton or even after Hatton.
But Floyd said he was going to retire after Baldomir and did retire after Oscar and came out of retirement to fight Hatton and stayed that way.
i guess Hatton being with Golden Boy helped him get the fight over Cotto as well and no matter who floyd chose to fight, he was going to be accused of ducking the other fighter.

Here's a question: What's more realistic (A or B)?

A) Floyd continues to choose other dance partners because Pac won't take the tests.

B) Pac actually takes more control of decision-making opportunities instead of letting Arum brainwash him.

A) Floyd growing some balls and will finally fight PAC

B) Forget PAC and shoot for the best in the higher division and fight Sergio

C) Will marry Ellerbe

Ive said it a million times, Floyd isnt ever going to fight Pacquiao.

 

Not that I think Roger is the be all end all of who Floyd fights, cause he's far from it, but that's not a good sign lol. Hopefully that's just Rogers opinion, if not, thats gay as hell.
